Perfekter Holzvergaser Ofen

Small stove, big performance
This lightweight, dainty-looking stove has earned the rare honour of living in my vehicle. It sets up in a few seconds. Stuff it full of twigs, pocket lint, a little bit of paper trash, and pretty much anything that will burn, and give it a flame. If it's overstuffed or too damp you may need to coddle the flame for a couple minutes, but nothing major. There's a bit of smoke to start with, but even that catches fire pretty quickly. Can you cook a whole grilled meal for 4 on it? No. But for a quick ramen or hot drink it's just fine. Is it as fast as a gas stove? Also no. And I did have to refill it once to get the water boiling, but that's because I was heating a regular stainless steel pot holding more than a litre of cold water. It was still faster than building a whole campfire, and it was burned out and cooled off enough to put away by the time we finished our ramen. A windscreen isn't necessary, but it might help speed up the cooking a wee bit. If you put the little dish for fuel underneath the whole thing, it will catch most of the ash. Just don't block the airflow from below or the fire will go out. I don't think it would stand up to heavy usage for long, as the burn chamber is a little thin and will probably eventually rust or crumble. What you get for a few bucks is a tiny, easy, convenient stove that will use almost any dead plant matter for fuel, even if it is damp. 5 stars for working as well as the description says it does.
