This pipe tap was exactly what we needed after accidentally stripping the threads while replacing the anode rod in our water heater. Instead of replacing the entire tank, we used this tap to carefully clean up and restore the damaged threads. The tap feels solid and well-made, and it cut cleanly without any issues. With plenty of cutting oil and a little patience, it was able to chase the threads and get everything back into usable condition. Once we finished, the new anode rod threaded in smoothly and sealed properly without any leaks. It turned what could have been a very expensive repair into a straightforward fix. If you need a quality 3/4"-14 NPT pipe tap for thread repair or plumbing work, this one is an excellent choice. It performed exactly as expected and was well worth the purchase.
