Kolinsky Travel Watercolor Brushes Sable Hair Round 3Pcs

These are absolutely my best favorite brushes for sketching with W.C. pencils. You can throw them in your pocket, in your purse, cace or art box and never ruin the bristles, which are really kolinsky sable with good snap back and absorption. This set of Kolinsky Travel brushes is perfect for traveling with sketchbooks and journals! The quality of the brushes is excellent, and the handles can be broken down into two pieces so they are half the size of a normal brush and they fit into a great little pouch that protects them and keeps them all together. This makes it a perfect size to carry in a pocket or purse for on the spur of the moment sketches. I literally "Don't Go Out Without Them!" In fact, I love them so much I have ordered multiple sets to gift to my Artist friends! I highly recommend them!

Most sable brushes I come across are either miss advertised or just poor quality in general but these ones so far have been rather pleasant. I’m mainly a squirrel hair user when it comes to my watercolor brushes due to sable being hit or miss but I think these will be my go to sable brushes from now on. Perfect travel size for the small carry-on I use. Now they do hold less water than squirrel hair but it’s still a decent amount and sable brushes like these retain their shape very well. Squirrel hair, due to how soft it is, doesn’t bounce back into shape like sable does. So if you want stiffer bristles for finer detailed work these are a great choice. A sleek metal case that screws on and off add points for me because it feels more secure when in use and I don’t have to worry about possibly losing the tube. Only downside is I bought the version on this listing that wasn’t advertised as Fuumuui brushes, if another seller is going to sell a different company’s product on their listing I would prefer them being more upfront about it. I have owned Fuumuui brushes in the past and they never steered me wrong before but you have to be incredibly mindful with that brand. More often than not their synthetics are poor quality. The real hair ones like these however are amazing. Just make sure when getting sable that you are sure of what you are purchasing, and always look for Kolinsky in the listing since that is real weasel hair. But if you are okay with synthetic because of more ethical sourcing then by all means go ahead and get that instead, it’s just more likely to be poorer quality.

My favorite brushes for watercolor. Bought a second set as a backup from another seller and the difference in quality was very noticeable. Returned the second set the next day. This set hold is firm but soft, holds water, and feels balanced and weighty (in a good way) in the hand. I like that it comes with the case - I can even fit another smaller brush in the case. Will definitely buy again.

I purchased several watercolor brush travel sets as I was looking for the “right one” for gifting my adult daughter, and I planned to keep one for myself as well. This set was the winner for me. It is simple, lightweight, compact. The case is easy to open and small enough to put in a pocket or small art bag. Material is soft and looks like thin leather, and sturdy. The brushes fit perfectly. The brushes are streamlined, lightweight, and esthetically pleasing. They put together with a twist, so are stable. Top part stores in handle and again is held in with a little twist. I love the look and feel of these brushes.

High quality brushes at an affordable price. These are not Winsor #7s but are a good substitute and perfect for plein aire. The pouch includes a terrific assortment of truly useful sizes. Satisfying to a very experienced painter (me) but also priced as a great stocking stuffer, or gift for the sweet little girl next door. I have bought five sets this year and all recipients were thrilled. The hairs are beautifully laid in, very high quality over all, including the pouch. I can't imagine these lasting at this price.

These brushes are great for watercolor! I typically only use Princeton Aqua Elite brushes. These are so much easier for travel and hold water so well.

I’m normally a big fan of the Fuumuui products and brushes. I have another set that have held up for months, but these already had broken and twisted hairs upon first opening. This was only true of the dagger brush but I’m not certain this these are truly natural sable hairs as advertised and if they are, they don’t appear to be high quality. The other brushes are fine though do not seem any different from synthetic brushes. The size of the brushes are great for travel though and I do appreciate the sturdy metal case.
