Q: How many gallons does the 24" pot contain?

I don’t know about gallons however it took 2 large bags of potting soil

Q: Does the sun dry them up and crack them?

No. Sunlight here in NM is pretty intense. I've not seen any adverse sun damage.

Q: What is the diameter of the 14" pot at bottom?

The saucer that goes with the pot is 12 inches. All my pots are filled with dirt, unable to measure the bottom. Not sure if that helps.
