Easyou Hu Brush Chinese Brush for Calligraphy and Sumi Drawing Pure Goat Hair

I have had this brush a short period of time for watercolor paintings. It holds a lot of water and pigment and comes to a very sharp point. I’m still learning to paint with it but am extremely satisfied thus far. A few hairs were shed but nothing significant. I think it’s a great value and would recommend it.

Updating this review to reflect the fact that I have really practiced with this brush and I now find it to be a much better tool than I first realized: UPDATED REVIEW: I LOVE this brush for the 9.99 price. For this price it has a surprisingly good build quality/value. If you spend time managing the brush tip (rinse, re-form the point and hang it to dry) then you can maintain a very respectable point after tons and tons of use.. The bristles do indeed appear to be real goat. It really does hold a fair amount of water when fully loaded and the bristles are nice and soft and do not fall out. Very very good starter brush for the price.

It keeps sharp point with very soft hair. I can depict thin line or paint big area. Also I can break the edge to paint grass. Very versatile brush.

This brush is awesome! I love it. There is a learning curve with it so don't expect to be an expert with it right away. Like any other tool you have to learn how to use it and when. But more and more I find myself picking up this brish for lots of watercolor paintings. It can put down a lot of water and color is a sloppy moppish way or be shaped into a fine point for some good details. Learn the nuances and you will have a great brush.

This is a great little brush. The refined horsehair holds ink very well, and even though the brush is very soft, it holds a point absolutely beautifully. I don't use this brush very often mainly because I am not sure what to use it for (my own practice is limited), but I have no criticism at all regarding the quality and properties.

Pure goat hair Hu brush is too soft for beginner to practice calligraphy. The product is decent in terms of pricing. It is very durable though.

Satisfactory for calligraphy but there are much better brushes from chinese suppliers. Overpriced for what it is.

Do NOT WASTE your money! Goat hair brushes shed but NOT LIKE THIS! They come out one after another. Worse brush I ever purchased!

Worth it.. I have used lots of branded brushes.. Raphael,escoda,DaVinci, lot ND lots of calligraphy brushes but this brush is just top notch, Mind-blowing purchase. Close your eyes and just go with it

It's fine but the tip is not pointed enough

This is the Most perfect mop/calligraphy brush for watercolour so far.... Water holding capacity is unimaginable. Pure goat/wool hair britsles holds lots of water, that you can wash larger area in painting in just one time. Only cons is little bit smaller than i expected, slightly overpriced, & few bristles fell down while painting.. Rest on of the best brush for watercolor artist compare to any brandes mop brushes.

Best quality calligraphy brush I have got till now, would love to recommend to art enthusiasts.
