Mini tower speakers masquerading as book shelf speakers
I dont know who's book shelf these would fit on because they are huge, its more of how deep they are. Which is odd because modern TVs tend to be so thin. My TV is a modern Bravia and is as thin as it gets so the contrast in depth between the two is really hard to make work aesthetically speaking. That being said, the sound is really fantastic, probably some of the best at this price point. I pair it with and older marantz from the early 2000s and its warm sound pairs nicely with it. Probably not as precise in its sound as some other monitor speakers, but I prefer the non clinical sound of them. I listen to alot of acoustic performances and vocal stuff and these work great for this. They also work great for movies. When straight out of the box, the tribble can be really harsh until the break in period is done, it took a couple of hours of listening for it to sound the right way. Initially tribble was painful but sounds excellent now. The bass with these is really nice, and gets it just a enough umph to make getting an external subwoofer and option but not a necessity, but it all depends on what you listen to. The general look is really nice for the speakers, the faux wood covering is kind cheap looking on close inspection and I'd imagine it not holding up over the decades but they look just fine from a normal distance. Overall appearance is sharp. I just wish they were not as deep for my kind of set up.

Would buy again and again
I’m not an audiophile, so take this from a layman’s perspective who just loves music. I did a couple of days worth of research regarding compatibilities of speakers, my amp (Yamaha entry level A-S301) and my preferred style of music (metal) and volume preferences (I like loud, but not so loud my neighbors in this development have to listen, too). So my review is purely emotion and how I feel listening to them, no specs as I’m not the guy you’d want for that. These babies are amazing. They get loud and maintain clarity without distortion or rumbling. And I’ve only gone as loud as maybe 25% of what they’re capable. Treble and bass each have distinct clear space and allow me to adjust and make noticeable improvements when necessary. Songs I’ve heard for years have a new, fresh even better sound - probably the way the artists had intended. And these shelf speakers simply look fantastic. I would purchase these again and again without a moments hesitation.

Beautiful design and HiFi Grade audio quality.
The Polk Signature Elite ES20 is a stylish bookshelf speaker with a clean, modern design that I really appreciate. The sound is detailed and smooth, with clear mids and highs that make music enjoyable. For its size, it performs well, but like most bookshelf speakers, it needs a subwoofer to truly shine. I’ve paired mine with an SVS SB-2000 Pro, and the difference is night and day—the sub fills in the low end beautifully, making the system complete. My current setup is WiiM Pro Plus → Fosi ZD3 → Fosi ZP3 → dual Fosi ZA3 amps (in mono) powering the ES20s, with the SVS sub handling bass. In this chain, the ES20s do what they do best: deliver crisp, engaging sound without strain. If you’re planning a 2.1 system, these speakers are a great choice, just make sure to add a good subwoofer for full-range performance. Update: After the break-in period, the bass performance and clarity have improved. They are now more dynamic and punchy—for the price, I think these are great!

These are huge bookshelf speakers with magnificent sound quality
Great speakers only using as 2.0 setup looking forward to connecting as 5.1 and running the Denon Audessy microphone setup to get full experience. I highly recommend these however description states wall mountable they definitely aren’t there is no mount and furthermore they are HUGE bookshelf speakers be prepared to purchase floor stands or have extremely deep bookshelves. But without any source tuning they still sound unbelievable on my HI RES stereo music.

Solid value for money
As someone who has owned speakers that cost 8 times as much as this, these are fantastic for the price. They go really deep due to the power port (audio science review has a frequency response graph that confirms this), and they're on the brightish neutral side without being fatiguing, which is something I love. They look high quality, and aren't hard to drive amplifier wise. Would definitely recommend especially when they're on sale.

A Whole Lot Better Than Wireless Bluetooth
Been having my return to physical music over the last year and this was the final upgrade over my old speakers. It turns out, better speakers makes all of your equipment sound better. Who know?! These are a little bigger than I expected, so unless you have a deep shelf I'd recommend measuring first. I have mine on speaker stands but still got some sticky foot pads to secure them in place. But they sound terrific and the magnet shield was a nice touch.

Very Good for Home Office
Like so many bookshelf speakers these days, this one tries to be a jack-of-all trades and doesn't necessarily excel at any of them. That being said, I got them at a nice price on Prime Days and found them great value at that price, particularly for my small office. They are very heavy and pack a wallop on the low end - quite impressive for the speaker type. Unfortunately, I bought the Walnut and found it to be quite unappealing to the eye - weird color and a fiberglass-like simulated woodgrain. I sent these little punchers back; if the black ones come up at the discount price I'll revisit my purchase.

Great speaker
I spent many years touting my Klipsch RP600M speakers. I still think they are great speakers but I recently replaced them with the Polk ES20. I'm glad I did. They are smooth, clear and sound terrific to my ear. I thought the lower price was a compromise but they deliver well above. Highly recommend. Only cons. The plugs covering the speaker holes were almost impossible to remove without scratching and the grill magnets don't work as easily as the Klipsch.
