L’Oréal Paris L'Oreal Hair Color Colorista 1-Day Spray, Hotpink, 2 Ounce

I liked this product and it works very well. I give 4 stars as it stays longer on my hair than promised. It took me more than 5 washes with shampoo to remove the color from my blond hair.

Works great, vibrant color, it does rub off onto anything that is touched (seat, hands, face, clothes, etc. ) but that’s kinda expected as it’s a hair spray. It did take 173826 washes (really only about 8 or 9 shampoo, rinse, and repeat) but my daughter’s hair is very long! We put a towel over the seat in the car and in the photo you can see her fingers are stained from moving her hair out of the way but it washed off her skin after about 3 baths (3 days) (didn’t scrub scrub, didn’t want to irritate skin) but it did NOT stain our white bathtub! We kept spraying the tub to not let it sit and have a chance to stain tho. Overall very happy with this purchase and it worked great! The pink was the perfect color for my Lava Girl! She didn’t want to wash it out!

When my supervisors declared we were going to have Superhero/Supervillain day at work, there was clearly only one thing for me to do: Pull out my purple suit and become the Clown Prince of Quarantine. The only problem was that I didn't have my fav. green hairspray for the look and couldn't get any on short notice. Nothing else looked up to the task so finally, with admitted reservations, I got a can of this thinking that if it didn't work, oh well. It's what the supervisors got for only giving me a week's notice. My biggest trepidation was coverage, followed by colour. Mint isn't exactly a 'Joker' green, after all, and since this was for 'hints and highlights' I didn't expect it to show on my dark brown hair at all. Things started looking up when the can arrived and the back showed examples of it sprayed on blonde hair (mint) and brown hair (a nice, emerald-ish green). It looked like my dark hair would play in my favor for once! The next test was to apply it. Normally I apply my hairspray in the shower because it gets everywhere. Absolutely everywhere. After a couple of sprays, though, I became concerned about wastage given the small quantity, so I decided to see just how good the applicator tip was a try doing it in front of the mirror. Worked like a charm! Seriously, there was no over spray at all! And the colour was perfect and while it took the full can, the coverage was all I could ask for! (picture above) So yes, while I wouldn't recommend it if you want super opaque coverage on long hair, 'cause you'll need a ton, for small jobs it works like a charm and I'd imagine that for it's intended use of Hints and Highlights it would do quite well.

This is a very good product, offering good coverage and colour even on verry dark hair. To use, wash and style your hair as you want it, then use this spray to finish your look and add colour to your hair. Cover your shoulders with a large towel and apply the spray from about 15 cm ( 6-7 in.) from your hair. It's good to have someone help do the back of your head if you want. It dries fast, holds the colour perfectly, and is non-transferring if you brush against clothing, etc. When you shampoo your hair to remove it, you will notice that the spray is pretty tenacious and doesn't want to release very easily. Simply start your shower or shampoo with conditioner First, rinse that out, shampoo, rinse, condition, rinse and repeat until the water runs clear. I found this is the easiest way to remove it efficiently so your hair is nice and clean and no sticky residue is left behind. An excellent product that works amazingly well. I'm very pleased with my purchase

My natural color when younger is dark brown, but I've had gray since my early 20's. I'm 61 now. Until recently I've colored lighter brown with blonde highlights to help hide the roots. I finally decided to let my gray come in, but I was worried how the gray roots would look. My colorist recommended purpose shampoo and conditioner to tone down the yellow, which has helped. I found this silver spray and it is perfect! My gray roots are now about 2 inches. I dry and style my hair, and then I spray, maybe 4-6" away from my hair, more of a mist moving constantly, spraying all over. My hair is not quite shoulder length, and I use half a can for one application, it lasts until my next shampoo. I wouldn't say it's stiff, but rather it gives my fine hair some substance. It's brushable too. It does come off on my hands if I touch it, but washes off easily. Sometimes I get some spray on my face, I just use a q-tip to remove. I spray before getting dressed to avoid getting it on my clothes. I plan to use this as my gray grows out, and probably even after because I have a patch at the back that is darker that I will want to even out. I showed my colorist and she is also recommending this to her clients who also want to grow out their gray! First 2 pics are before spraying, the last 3 are after. Update 10 months later: My gray is almost completely grown in, except for the ends of some longer strands are still blonde/light brown. I’m still using this spray to cover these areas but I need much less. It was such an easy transition and I’ve gotten many compliments. I highly recommend this for anyone thinking about letting your gray go natural. My $160 color and highlights for 2 hrs every 6 weeks is now a $40 cut in 20 min!

1 am 64 and stopped dying my hair 10 years ago. Bought it for fun...made my hair nice and shiny and the colour was very supple. washed out on first shampoo.
