My daughter just turned 8 and unfortunately for her she has inherited from my anxiety ...I got her this to help her see past the negative thoughts and feelings, and steer towards more positive thinking about herself and the world around her.She does it at bedtime to keep her mind of the "sadness" and it has helped loads. The activities are engaging but simple enough for her to complete on her own.The book is well constructed and the images are lovely and bright, all age appropriate.Really happy with this purchase!

Excellent book, just what I was looking for. My son who is 10 loves it and looks forward to completing it. As well as it being a great tool to get kids thinking and writing about themselves and their feelings, it's also a great conversation starter for parents and kids.

As a Dr. of Social Psychology and in a slightly different specialism I found this book excellent in helping to raise my young children (7 & 11 yo). I’d add some neuroscience and some Stoic Philosophy to parallel and complement its effectiveness but overall I like this book and I highly recommend it. My 10 year old ASD daughter has been subjected to some bullying at school. She had started to lose confidence in who she is. This book has some lovely activities to help her remember that she is amazing and allowed a structured programme to work through problems she has faced. I think it would be of benefit for most children to work through a book like this and would highly recommend it to everyone.

After Covid like many children my nephew faced symptoms like sore tummy, tiredness or sore head. Going to school became a problem trigger. After his mum used this book with him he developed the skill to put his thoughts down on paper and talk about them. He gradually returned to the happy, thoughtful 10 year old. I would definitely recommend this book to other parents.
