Advent Calendar Book Collection

I bought this not as an advent calendar, but to take the books camping with us- worked perfectly and saves so much space. Lovely selection of classic books with a few newer titles in there. It’s a winner for us!

On seeing the size of the box at my front door I was astonished, I expected it to be in the usual folder type packaging. I obviously did not read the description properly when I saw it advertised. I assumed it was a single book broken down into 24 individual stories for be read for each of the days of advent. What has arrived is a very large and quite heavy folding advent calendar 16.5" x 12" x 05" thick. Instead of the normal postage stamp size windows, it's made up with 24 x 4" x 4" windows which when opened there appears to be a book behind it each one. My 3 year old great great niece who loves books and being read to is going to really love this. Obviously I can't open any of the books, but considering the low cost involved and the way it's been produced, I'm more than happy with this as a gift to give and would recommend it.

Very good books, though the book cover came damaged, torn on a corner.

The reason for 3 stars is that once you've open the "door" the book can't stay in anymore. If you turn it over to open another door all the already opened ones will fall. We like to buy a book advent calendar every year and keep it, unfortunately with this one we misplaced some books because were falling constantly

I was expecting a more of a box style but this is still good, the doors are on all sides of the calendar and even though I haven’t opened a door the books look quite small but readable.A very good price what it is and the stories will entertain my children aged between 2 & 6 plus it’s reusable!

The books were an instant success with my grandchildren. They couldn't wait for the next day to arrive. The eldest child took the books to school to read during her quiet reading time. So hence the better than chocolate comment.

Perfect gift for my daughter and her friend. The books were lovely designed and so nice to read them every evening before bed.
