Would work great for left-handers
I bought this because I am recovering from right shoulder replacement and was having a hard time using a right hand mouse on the counter where I use my laptop, mostly before the surgery. It is still harder for me to use than the right hand mouse I have been using for decades, but it is good for my shoulder. I wish the smaller version had been available since this one is a little more difficult for me.

Relieves forearm pain.
Does the forearm of the arm you use for your mouse hurt? If so then you'll likely find relief by switching to a vertical mouse such as one made by Evoluent. I have a left-handed model and two right-handed and they're all great.I do wish that the resolution of the mouse was a bit higher for fine detail work, however I must give 5* for the relief from pain which is the reason I bought these mice.

Spendy but seems helpful
I have not been diagnosed but I have symptoms similar to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I get discomfort, mild pain, and tingling from my wrists to my fingers, especially when I work on the computer for long hours. Using a mouse has gotten so bad most of the time (and my old one is on the fritz) that I took the plunge with the cost of this mouse. It is worthwhile because it really is more comfortable and it tracks very well (I used a new cheap laser mouse in the interim and it drove me crazy). It took me a couple of days to adjust to it as there are a lot of buttons and they are in new places. I still hit the wrong buttons or accidentally hit some after a week of use. I also had to adjust to the left hand button order as I was previously using right hand order on my left (right hand dominant but switched to left mousing years ago from pain). The lighted logo that faces you is kind of annoying but maybe it helps you orient your hand without having to look directly at the mouse? Otherwise, I would prefer that it had no fancy external lights. The extra buttons were annoying for a while because I do not care about them and accidentally touching them can do annoying things. I am pretty much over the accidental button touches after a few months. A big problem with the regular buttons is that they often fail to register clicks! They make an audible and felt click but the computer does not do anything. This problem happens several times a day and is very irritating.I do not know why it says that Linux is not 100% supported as even the extra features like the acceleration buttons work automatically. I use Linux (Mint 17).At first, I found it to be relieving. After a few months of use, however, the significant trouble has returned. Although the position is probably ergonomically better, it seems that it only reduces strain. This mouse only mildly relieves my symptoms.I somewhat recommend this mouse if you have discomfort or want to attempt to prevent it, however, it is not a complete solution. I need to find a way to have the mouse in a more ergonomic location along with a wrist rest. I would give it maybe four stars if I can find a complete set up that eliminates my discomfort (thereby proving that this mouse works as part of this complete breakfast). It loses at least one star because it is not as ergonomic as advertised, it is expensive, and the buttons register falsely.

CK-Love this!!!
Think the product worked great. I have had surgery recently and have major hand problems. This has made a huge difference.
