In love!!! Sorry extensive review!
Sorry my review is so long! I'm just trying to help anyone else who wears a size 6.5 like me!I just got the black size 37 in the mail! I love them!!! So cute!! The heel Is a perfect height! However, they are a tad big for me. I will send them back for the 36. I am a true 6.5 in almost all shoes. On RARE occasions, I fit in a 6 and other times a 7. And usually, I size down when half sizes are not offered. After reading every review I could find, most people said to size up. I even checked the size chart on SH website, which had me nervous a 36 would be too small. Unfortunately for me, i did need to size down. The shoe did fit comfortably, but felt too wiggly. I like shoes to be kind of tight and not flopping around. It seems your foot is pushed forward in the shoe while standing. And this left too much room between my heel and the heel strap. And strangely, I did not have enough room to tighten the straps to the last hole. (Only could get to second to last hole) If I pushed my foot back to be even with the heel, there was about half of an inch left at the toe area! I'm really hoping the 36 works out!ETA: I just got them in size 36. They are a perfect fit. Almost too perfect. My foot takes up the whole length of the footbed. With no room to spare. And the toe area is tight. But I've read that they stretch. These shoes are so cute but they need better sizing. It's crazy how the 37s can be so big. Then the 36s are borderline too small. I'm going to keep them and hope they stretch to a comfortable fit. They are that cute! Lol

These shoes are absolutely adorable, but at least in the size 5
These shoes are absolutely adorable, but at least in the size 5, the toe cap/slide starts a little too low and is a little too narrow AND small, so the widest part of your foot (at the inner pinkie joint) hits just before the leather. The natural gravity of your foot in a heel then smooshes your foot in a way that makes it look like your jamming your foot into a thimble-tiny shoe when really the leather is just so small and leaves too much foot out of the shoe. If I stand perfectly still, they are near perfect. The second I take a step, the rubbing/flare starts. If the slide just came up just a 1/2 inch closer to the ankle strap, you'd get extra support and that bit would be covered instead of jamming and rubbing. I looked online at some pictures and saw that SJP had the same pair and her foot seemed like a lot was hanging out too. I have small, medium width average feet with no bone anomalies or anything and the sole of this shoe is absolutely the perfect size, but the coverage just isn't proportionate (at least in this size). I am soooooo disappointed. I'm sure it would work for someone with a very uniformly narrow foot.

Love these shoes ♥♥♥♥
I have much the same comments for these as for my other pair, so will include some of that review here:I have several pairs of Hasbeens now, this was my 2nd pair. I wear Hasbeens most days, and I walk a lot. I'll share with you some of the things I've discovered over the past 12 months as a dedicated Hasbeens enthusiast. I estimate I've had about 300 days of wear of my Hasbeens so far.Do like the instructions say and use olive oil on both the leather and the lime wood. They only recommend that you use oil on the 'nature' or un-dyed shoes, but I use oil on all my Hasbeens. The natural leather turns a lovely deep brown, a much darker shade to what it is prior to oiling. My red pair also turned a deep red, which I really like.I also find that the oiling of the leather is a HUGE help with the breaking in process. The leather is very thick, therefore it is very stiff at first. They take several wears to break in, and there may be some pain involved. Like another reviewer, my first pair cut into my foot at the top when I did the 50 minute walk to work in them. I mistakenly thought that they were broken in because I had already worn them several times, and they were so comfortable. However, being a novice I hadn't oiled them. My feet bled, and I didn't wear them for a week or so. I oiled the shoes, and stretched them by shoving another pair of Hasbeens inside them straight after the oiling, and I left them overnight. They have stretched width-wise A LOT, so be careful if/when you stretch them because if you over stretch them you can't go back! It is a good idea to don a cute pair of socks with these the first few times you wear them. Now I oil and stretch them a little before wearing and I haven't had any problems since. I prefer this height to the lower heel - it looks high, but doesn't feel like it and is super comfortable. They look great! I wear them most of the year and I have a couple pairs of boots for the couple of months in winter when it's too cold for sandals. I do try not to wear them when it rains.I noticed some comments about the wood getting dirty - when I notice this happening I sand the wood part of the shoe, including the foot bed (the part where my foot goes), then I oil the whole thing with olive oil. The great part about this is - no more stinky shoes! As well as sanding off any discolouration, you also sand off any smell. Eventually the wood is lovely and smooth, and I think that even this has contoured a little to my feet from constant use. The sanding and oiling is part of the shoe maintenance, just like they did the in old days. The leather is supposed to soften and darken, and the wood will darken a little too I guess. I realise that many people may not be used to having to actually maintain their shoes in our disposable throw-away culture, but this is an investment. Imagine how much less landfill there'd be if people held onto their shoes for a lifetime. I plan to with these. One more thing - I have achilles tendonitis in both legs, and it was a nice bonus to find that the pain completely goes away when I wear these. It's something to do with the shape of the shoe and the wood holding the foot quite still when I walk, and the tendons in the back of my legs aren't over-stretching. If I wear flat shoes with flexible soles, the pain comes back.

They are going back.
So far, they are cutting into my feet.I'm wearing them around the house to see if they will stretch but my gut tells me these are going back. My friend has them, swears by them but she's always been the 'can wear a guinea sack and look great' type of person. I, on the other hand, struggle to find anything that fits and I went by her suggestion and it's a no-go for me, I'm afraid. I usually wear an 8, due to my 7.5 sort of wide feet. There is no give in the sole/footbed of these shoes. Clomp Clomp Clomp, here comes Mr. Ed. I can barely walk in these. I look like the girls that wear 6" heels who can't bend their knees while walking. Maybe I just need to learn how to walk in these but there is zero flexibility (yes I know they are wood) but I had no idea it would be like walking with bricks strapped to my feet. Too bad, I needed these for a wedding this weekend.
