Red HeartSuper Saver Yarn - Americana

Red Heart yarn is a favorite of mine. I use a lot of it for crocheting and plastic canvas projects. The colors are bright and don't fade, washes like a charm, and lasts for years. This American colored yarn is perfect for making items in our flag's colors. I can always recommend Red Heart yarn.

This is a decent yarn to get. The pattern is meant to be used on a slightly smaller scale than I am using to get the flag affect. I’m making a big blanket (about 6.75’x 4.5’), so if you were making a bit smaller and more common size it would work great for a flag pattern.The 4 rating is due to the stiffness of the yarn itself. It’s not real soft and tends to want to come apart so I have to be careful to not miss a strand while I crochet. I would give it a 4.5 if we could do 1/2 stars ourselves.

Perfect for crafts

This is the perfect yarn for making patriotic ear warmers for an outreach program I donate to. Love it so much. Not as soft as other yarns but honestly over time it will get there. Definitely buying more.

Ordered this so I can make hats in the red white and blue. I'm a quarter of the way the first skein, but where's the blue? So far it's only red and white! I ordered 3 more of this same yarn, hope I don't have to send it back. Not happy with the lack of blue.

Red Heart is the best yarn for knitting & crocheting.

The yarn has the pattern included for the cowl as shown in the photos. It's a brilliant pattern suitable for beginners at knitting and it really shows off the pattern which can be achieved from this yarn. But it really is very poor quality, squeaky and scratchy with messy joins. Very similar to cheap acrylic yarns like robin or pound shop.
