About the Author Jay  P. Hancock is an Assistant Lecturer in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A & M University.  Prior to joining Texas A & M, Mr. Hancock taught high school agriculture science for nearly 30 years.  Mr. Hancock holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from Texas A & M University. Don W. Edgar, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of teacher education at University of Arkansas, where he teaches methods of teaching in agricultural education, methods of laboratory instructions, social data analysis, small gas engine and turf machines. Dr. Edgar also supervises student teachers in field placement. Lori Dyer taught in agriculture career technology programs for 30 years.  For Curriculum for Agriculture Science Education (CASE), Ms. Dyer is certified in several areas and helped to develop the CASE Ag Power and Technology curriculum.  She holds a B.S. degree from Ohio State University and a Masters of Instruction degree from the University of Delaware. Michael L. Pate, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Agricultural Systems Technology at Utah State University, where he coordinates the agricultural systems technology undergraduate program.  Prior to pursuing graduate studies, Dr. Pate taught at the high school level for 3 years.  Brian Hoover, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at Murray State University in Murray, KY, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate classes in the agricultural systems technology program.
