I just had surgery for a quad tendon tear. The surgeon ordered 24/7 immobilization for at least 4 weeks. The brace supplied by the doctor’s office has a clunky hinge that is uncomfortable especially during sleep. So, I ordered this one to try out. It actually immobilizes my leg better than the one from the doctor’s office and is more comfortable. When the brace is tightened sufficiently, my leg is firmly fixed at zero degrees flex as ordered by the doctor. It will slip down when walking if not tightened sufficiently. That isn’t a problem for me so far because the doctor does not want me walking at all except for trips to the bathroom.

After a successful quadriceps tendon reconstruction (my 2nd knee replacement and 4th quad surgery), I needed a brace that would keep my leg fully straight for the first six weeks with absolutely no flex. This immobilizer brace has been perfect. It’s far easier to use than a hinged brace—simple to fit, stays secure, and gives the solid, steady support a fresh repair needs. I even bought a second one just for the shower, and it works great there too. Once I reached the six‑week mark, I switched to the hinged brace during the day but kept this immobilizer for sleeping, and it continues to hold my leg comfortably in full extension all night. For anyone recovering from serious quad tendon surgery, this brace has been a huge help. When I ice, which is frequently, i simply open it up and place the ice pad on my knee and then close the Velcro straps. I LOVE THIS BRACE.

Does the work, but pricy

I fell and fractured my kneecap so I needed this brace to keep my knee immobilized. So far it’s working fine and much more comfortable than the compression brace I was using. However as others have mentioned it is difficult to keep it in place, it does slip down. It is suitable for resting around the house and getting over the acute stage of an injury but I would not recommend if you need to walk any distance or move around at work for instance. It fits and stays in place best over leggings, over clothes or bare skin it’s more prone to sliding.

Great design as the straps don’t flop in the breeze like you may get at the hospital. Great support.

My mother fell off a horse not too long ago and come to find out she did some decent damage to her knee. This brace came recommended by her physician until we can get her scheduled for surgery. The fit is great and all things considered she says it's pretty comfortable. good buy so far!

I fractured my shin bone and got this to immobilize the knee and shin. However no matter how much I tightened it it would slide down my leg. It really was a waste on money.

Did not stay in place for me.

Waste of money. Who the f$*# saz it’s universal? It’s made for kids.
