I've tried other brands, and always come back to Scotts. I've tried the commercial outfits that come out with sprays or zip around on their little motorized spreaders using an unknown brand of pellet fertilizer. I've tried the less expensive "store brands" and wasn't satisfied with the results. I always fall back on the tried and true Scotts and it's never failed to produce excellent results. Most people don't realize that using an over winter fertilizer is CRITICAL for your lawn = if you expect to have a nice looking yard in the Spring. I appreciate Amazon saving me a trip to the hardware store ( 40 mile round trip for me) and delivering these ( Amazon Prime member) 37.5 pound heavy bags right to my home. No lifting it into the cart, then lifting it out of the cart and into the car .........then lifting it out of the car and into the garage. Using Amazon Prime saves me time, gas, mileage, muscle and money.

Good for Houston fall weather. After applying this to my yard, my yard didn't turn yellowish last year! I will for sure applying this again this fall, my lawn still green even during fall (I apply a lot) :P
