For Dwarf Hamsters
I bought this for my dwarf hamster and it is a perfect size. She loves running around in it throughout the house.I will say it is not designed for easy cleaning since hamster to pee and poop while in the ball. My only recommendation is run it under hot water to clean and once you are done, leave it somewhere to air dry. I did clean my outside because I don't like using my sink to clean it, but I also added a little of dish soap that doesn't have harmful chemicals for the hamster, and it did the job.

Cheap Plastic, Of Course
I bought this for a pocket mouse I originally found in my back yard (it's about 3/4 the size of a golf ball and my cats were eyeing it up so I didn't just trap the poor thing) and it fit nicely inside though unless the mouse ran itself about halfway up the side it couldn't roll it so maybe I needed an even smaller than mini one? Micro? Anyway, it didn't take long for it to start looking really dirty from rolling around on a painted concrete floor, my mouse couldn't possibly even push itself up onto a rug without help from some friendly cats giving him a "gentle push". Went to wash it and found after it dried it still looked dirty. Tried letting it soak and it still looked cloudy/dirty. I eventually realized that after only a handful of uses by a tiny mouse on a smooth floor it was scuffed like crazy both inside and out. Chances are the mouse couldn't see out of it to where it was even going which would explain why it later started to simply roll for a bit then would just sit there until I picked him up. Eventually the mouse died and I upgraded to some female Rex rats from a breeder. Got them as soon as they were old enough to be able to fend for themselves and they were clearly even at that few week old point too big for this thing. It's recommended not to even use balls like this for rats at all (or even wheels, particularly wire ones) and I definitely don't recommend this one in particular as it will bend their spine wrong and their toes and tail are longer than mice making it much more possible to pinch and sever bits. One suggestion I would make is to have the ball able to separate at the middle in addition to/instead of the tiny porthole at the end of it. It was a pain even getting my tiny mouse in and out of it and led to more than one escape and chase attempt.

My Robo hamster loves it!
I haven’t had any issues with this hamster ball. I have a Roborovski hamster about the size of a golf ball and she loves being in the ball and rolling around the house. I do use masking tape to cover the hatch because other reviews said that the cover could pop off. I don’t want to take any chances with my hamster getting free, as I have 2 small dogs. Personally, I think this ball is a great size for my tiny Robo hamster & good quality for the price.

Good enough but beware
Gets cloudy really quickly and the top that turns to lock unlocked once and my hamster fell out and was just about to get lost so beware overall other than the fact that you have to put tape just as a precaution still gives my hamster plenty exercise.
