William Wobbly is having a very bad day. He didn't want to go to school and when he got there things just got worse. The wobbly feeling got bigger and bigger and BIGGER until... Something happened to William Wobbly when he was very little which makes it hard for him to understand or control his feelings. Luckily, his new mum is here to help with his wibbly wobbly feelings. Written by a mum who understands, and her daughter (who used to have a lot of wobbly feelings), this is a story for children functioning at age 3-10 who struggle with sensory overload. Review: Thank you! - Very helpful! My daughter has carried this book around with her, read it to us, to herself, shown it to others. Today she made a breakthrough and was able to describe feelings and relate them to events that occured in her first family, using language and images from this book. This was the first time she was able to talk openly about negative things her first mom did and describe how she felt during that time, and how it makes her feel day to day now. Review: Another one for the hurt heart - Sarah Naish has done it again! I guarantee your jaw will drop when you see your adopted, resistant child in the pages of this book. Helps parents AND children understand post trauma and how it comes out as annoying behavior.

I like the foster care/adoption angle to the story and it really helps to put somethings in perspective for my sons, but I wish the story would go a bit further in expanding the ending of the book

Fabulous!
I got this because my friends were talking about William Wobbly and the other books in the series. The books are written about a real group of adopted siblings and it shows! You can fell the authenticity in the characters emotions and anxieties. I had to read it first and have a little cry, before reading it to my daughter. It is her favourite book now and we use it to help her through all her fears. Thank you for writing theses books, they have made such a difference.

Yup, it's good.
I wasn't sure about buying this book but am so glad I did. There's something "real" about it which has a spellbinding effect on my foster son age 7, when we read it he doesn't even chat, just silently takes in the story and how William feels. Through it he has realised that that feeling he gets leading up to and during a meltdown is real and happens to other people too and we refer to it as his "wobbly feeling" now just like William in the book. This has helped us identify that feeling a bit earlier and have good chats about that feeling during the calmer times. Just one way that Sarah Naish has helped us with fostering, I have to say..

Relatable & instructive
As a child protection social worker working with children in care, foster carers & adopters. I can wholeheartedly recommend the series of books relating to William Wobbly and his siblings. These books allow children to to develop their emotional literacy and understanding their biggest and scariest feelings. These books work for the smallest children up to teenagers (yes really) as they are relatable on so many levels. These books are a must for adopters, foster carers, children in care, adopted children, children with additional needs and any child who needs help with developing self awareness and emotional literacy

Excellent to read with my son
I bought this book to read with my son who is 3 now, he has difficulties with angry outbursts , including hitting and pushing, at nursery and was adopted himself. This book has been great to read with him, although he struggles to sit still right through as itโs maybe a little long for a busy 3 year old. I think the message about him having a good heart and being loved and helped by mum is such a great message for him to learn and this is a great way of sharing it with him.
