It's a very small unit. Really. I did not expect it to be so compact. Simple in use. Simple controls. Easy :o) Obviously, you won't be welding pipelines with it, but for an occasional home use, especially for a beginner like me, it's perfect. Those shelf brackets are going to be welded - finally ;o) Drawbacks so far: 1. No case. You'll have to keep the box if you want to store it. 2. Rather short ground cable - much shorter than the rod holder's one. Oh yeah - keep the supplied safety glasses in the box and get a auto-darkening helmet. There's plenty to choose from right here, on Amazon. They do work and you'll thank me later :o)

Wasn’t expecting much from the machine but used it abou 4 times some with long periods of time like an hour of continuous use, it works great and worth the money

Good product

Being a software engineer, do understand that I've never ever done a Weld in my life. So was skeptical on how to proceed. But with iBell's customer support reputation and extended warranty assurance, I was confident on my purchase. Amazon delivery was quick(to Cochin, Kerala) despite the quarantine/lockdown. Kudos to Amazon's delivery team for this. iBell's customer care contacted me the very next day and assisted with registering the product and extending warranty to an extra 6-months. They also mailed me a certificate for this. The machine itself is very tiny and light-weight. And the strap is heavy-duty and will surely come in handy for roofing projects, where you can hang the welder on your back. The clamp/ground wire - I feel is a bit too short (1 meter), though perfect in my case. The stinger wire is longer(2 meters). After welding intermittently for 30 minutes, there was no heating found in the machine. Now the small digital meter in the front shows you exactly what amperage you are setting the machine too. My first test was on 16 gauge steel tubing and this came out really well. I was able to weld at even 40Amps, without the rod sticking too much. Although in the beginning I tried setting it to higher like 75-90Amps to get the arc going. Since I was using 16 gauge material, the higher amperage started blowing holes through the material. I then went with 2.5mm 6013 rod and at 40Amps, was easily able to make myself a computer table frame as shown in the attached picture. Overall this has been a perfect purchase. I love the fact that the customer support called me to follow up with the before and after delivery aspects. If you have a little more money to spend, I would recommend the just higher model instead (IBL M220-76) which can control "Arc Force" or how much you dig into the weld material. I think that would be immensely helpful to beginner welders or DIY-ers who want to tinker at home. Definitely would recommend this and if need be would happily purchase this again.
