Design Toscano French Rococo Centerpiece Comport Urn

This is absolutely beautiful!!

This is simply gorgeous! It is very heavy and quite large, yet looks so delicate. The detail is amazing and it looks like a true antique. I am planning on ordering a second urn to compliment this one on my mantle. Each time I purchase a Design Toscano product, I swear it’s my favorite, but this might be the ultimate favorite. It has that wow factor for any home that has French Roccoco decor. I was a little hesitant about spending so much for an urn/vase, but this is totally worth every penny.

Looks beautiful in listing but very cheap looking in person. You can clearly see where it was badly painted with a brush, missing multiple places. Arrived damaged with a hole in the inside, cracked arm and multiple chips, scratches on the ornate figures and sides of the urn. There was also something all slathered onto one side of the urn that was painted over which looks terrible. Way overpriced for the quality and not durable. Would absolutely not recommend!!

While this is a heavy duty and beautiful piece, mine came damaged from the start as you can see in the photo. It was wrapped completely in foam and shipped as best as possible and still looks lovely enough to show, and is almost not noticeable at all (the missing pieces are in the left arm when you go to carry the urn). I was also disappointed at the lack of lid, I had assumed such a thing came with an urn? This one did not. For these two reasons I've given it four instead of five stars.That said, it's Exsquisite beauty captivated my eye from the second I saw it, and I had to have it before even realizing what it was. Thinking it was simply a decorative item that went with my Gothic style, that's what I've repurposed it to be, as shown in the photo, as an eccentric snack bowl. Actually, the credit for the idea goes to my mini me, who threw the snacks inside upon coming home from school and the rest of the family just looked at it, then each other and we knew we had a new snack bowl.

Heavy duty. Not a trinket. You will be surprised at just how heavy this is in your hands. Design Toscano French Rococo Centerpiece Comport Urn designed in the USA and manufactured in China makes this a quality piece at a very affordable price. My home has a lot of French Provincial furniture and even has some large urns on marble stands. They were made in the 1700's and are a name sake. This fits in beautifully with those as well as the hand carved furniture. At first when I ordered it I didn't know if I would keep it or not, but after receiving it there is no doubt that it is a keeper. This would go well as a centerpiece anywhere including in the middle of the dining room table. It is more form than function, but it is beautiful enough for that sake alone. What I am saying is that there isn't anything cheap about it. It is even hand painted.I know designing taste is a very personal thing so whether or not this is beautiful depends on your preferences as well as the decor. However if this fits in at all with your design tastes it is definitely a worthwhile piece. We are talking real cast resin here, not some plastic imitation. I plan on keeping it. It may not be practical but it sure is beautiful.
