Useful colour pencils to see the line to cut the fabrics.

These are just colouring pencils. Just used the blue one on white cotton, doesn’t mark like chalk. Very hard lead, doesn’t remove from the fabric the way chalk does. Just expensive at £1 each for some cheap pencils. Save your money. Also desc calls it tailors chalk pencil but the pencil is marked as a quilters pencil. Two different products so the description is wrong. Lame

Essential for me to mark sewing. The four colours gives choices to suit most fabrics and leaves definite lines without much effort. Lightweight to hold and they sharpen easily. I found a 'but' today while taking up jeans as I used half of one of these pencils on two legs because the chalk centre is loose! Every so often about 1/2 cm of the pointed chalk dropped out of the pencil as I worked. I kept sharpening until I got a solid piece to mark the hems with but in no time I was at the sharpener again. I reverted to my old marking chalk pen to finish the job. I hope this is a one in four happening?

These dressmakers pencils have proved very helpful. Having different colours allows for use on different fabrics.

These will be useful for years. Colours are great and one or the other shows up on every colour material I've tried. Great that I can sharpen them which makes them really accurate too, unlike tailors chalk.

These pencils look pretty and was just what I was wanting but unfortunately they didn’t do what I expected. I wanted chalk pencils so that I could mark fabric but I had to press hard to get them to mark and this caused puckering in the fabric. Much better on dark coloured denim material but not for thinner or more fragile fabric.
