CBTL LM-145P Milk Frother, Black

I've owned other frothers and not a one can hold a candle to the CBTL. Latte froth is similar to that you would get from a steam wand. The cap is richer, thicker, also excellent. This is not the dry meringue consistency of some over powered frothers, but nice consistency closer to what you would expect to top your brew. The frother is very easy to clean; of course, I rinse and wipe out with a paper towel as soon as I am done. You can pour directly from the frother without making a mess. Love this frother and will buy another when this one stops working.

I am on my second milk frother from CBTL. The first one I thought had been washed and perhaps submerged into water by my kids as they cleaned it so when it stopped working after a few months, I innocently assumed it was user error and bought another one. Once again, within a few months, the whole frother just started to disappoint. First, it took several "starts" before it would begin...I should have known there was an issue at that point... and then some mornings it would work and others...nothing. I have been extra careful with this one to make sure there was no "user-error" but clearly after reading other reviews, it is not the user but the machine. I am throwing in the towel with CBTL and off to try other brands, I had used Nespresso before and had issues with theirs but at least it lasted at least 2 years versus 2 months!

I really love this product. Maybe a tad pricey and looks like a history of a mediocre life span, ...as per previous reviews, hence forth my four stars. But for my money this frorher makes a pretty good cappuccino and latte. You can get even get creative with added flavors as well. My sunrise cup of java is now a completeley different start to my day in my own kitchen and I am also saving a lot of $$$$$ by skipping the coffe shops. BTW: IMHO if you just follow the proper cleaning instructions it's a snap and may extend the lifespan of the frother. Happy for now.

This CBTL unit is a slick package and mostly works with push-button convenience. The milk comes out very frothy. So why only a 2 star review? Well, first you need to figure out which combination of fill levels and frothing/steaming attachments to use for the beverage you want. Better keep the instructions, because if you lose that Rosetta stone you're out of luck. If you switch back and forth between lattes and cappuccinos you will need to fidget with the "halo" wand attachment, which seems a little fragile and I worry will snap off every time I mess with it. Finally I have never been able to achieve a temperature above luke warm. Not sure why, but it certainly ain't the same experience as you get with a hand-crafted espresso beverage from your favorite barista. Sort of a letdown, so much so that I'm currently in the market for a replacement.

The CBTL does make a nice, toasty froth -- when it's working. The froth head was not on securely one time and it spun off the attachment head, then the machine overheated. Also, don't put icy milk in it; it burned the finish. For a little more money, I'd get a Nespresso Aeroccino Plus Automatic Milk Frother. It is metal, has more functions -- including a cold mix function -- and is a tough little machine. I know because my wife demo'd one HUNDREDS of times for a seasonal promotional at a local kitchen store -- and she was only one of many who used that same frother and that Nespresso Aeroccino Plus Automatic Milk Frother is still working great.

Takes about 2 and a half minutes. It gets the milk warm enough without burning it! Not to hard to keep clean either. There was a cheaper one available through BBB and Target but the frother-spinner was on the bottom and took twice as long! This peice just feels solid. I love it. Highly recomended.

This is the worst product I have ever purchased on Amazon - broke after the second use!A little internet research, including comments on Amazon, shows many who have had the same experience!It appears that the rotating element of this product is built of plastic which is too weak to take the forces generated during its operation. This product should be withdrawn and re-engineered. In the meanwhile, I recommend that no one purchase this.

This product is great but you have to be very careful cleaning to not get water in electric conduits
