Accurate temp and time control. Low and slow cooking times
I took my first step into Sous Vide cooking but not in the traditional style. I used the Sous Vide machine to cook a pressed ham for sandwich meat. I was surprised how good the meat tasted. Way different from storebought. I need to experiment with times and temps, and, I need to use about 1/2 pound less in the meat press. I stuffed 2.5 lbs. into the pot and it was a little too much and the heavy spring pushed out a lot of juice. BUT, no problem for me, I just slathered on some mayo and made a great tasting sandwich.I am sold on this style of cooking and I can't wait to try new recipes. My Vpcok Sous Vide machine worked like a charm. And after I re-read the instructions a couple times I figured out the timer and temp controls. After that it was smooth sailing. One thing I did wrong...I used a pot that was too big and too tall for the cooking machine and ran out of water once. Practice makes perfect, so I better get stared. Thanks Amazon and thank you Vpcok for a nice easy to use piece of kitchenware. I will recommend the brand and that Amazon is the place to buy it.Update: I am trying to use the sous vide machine for making pressed meat in a Ham Press. The Press lid is about 7" high and finding the right pan to hang the sous vide machine on so I van make sure I have enuf water but not so much that water runs inside the press. I also did use it for cooking meat in a vacuum bag and it was easy to find a middle measurement of water. I wonder, do any one of you use the sous vide machine to cook in a meat press?

Great price and whisper quiet - it's got the basics covered
The "Sous Vide Machines" caught my attention for its affordability and rave reviews. Having bought several for myself and as gifts, I'm thoroughly impressed by its performance and simplicity. This sous vide's quiet operation is a standout feature. Unlike models that mandate app usage for basic functions (a trend I find unnecessary and cumbersome), this device keeps it straightforward. While I appreciate the added features like WiFi and Bluetooth in sous vides like the Anova, I've realized they aren't essential. The key is the ability to manually adjust settings directly on the unit, which "Sous Vide Machines" offers flawlessly. The trend towards requiring apps for appliances like sous vides is overdone. (Hello Joule and Breville!) After all, we don't need an app for a toaster oven, so why a sous vide? The "Sous Vide Machines" strikes the perfect balance between functionality and ease, proving that the best cooking tools are those that keep it simple. In summary, for a reliable, efficient, and user-friendly cooking experience, the "Sous Vide Machines" is an excellent choice. It highlights that, when it comes to kitchen appliances, less can indeed be more.

Good basic immersion heater
This water heater / circulator is priced right and works the same as more expensive heaters. I use it on daily basis to cook meat and to do reheating without overcooking. I like the colored band that lets me see the status of the heater, whether it is preheating, heating normally, or shut off. I would prefer that the heater not have a 2-hour timer by default and instead allow for an untimed mode where the heater just stays on by default. The timer takes two seconds of button pressing for each hour of time set, so for a 24-hour cook, I have to stand there for 48 seconds holding the timer. The manufacturer should change the firmware to have an exponential speed up on the timer, so that it is not necessary to press and hold the button as long. With exponential speed up, the first two seconds of pressing gives you 1 hour, the next gives you 2 hours, the next gives you 4 hours, the next gives you 8 hours, etc, so that it only takes about 10 seconds for a very long cook times.

Good, with a few caveats
It works within a few degrees. I have to adjust mine up to get the temperature I want. My bigger concern is the clip that attaches it to the pot or box. It seems flimsy and tends to fall off altogether. And as some other people have noted, if you want to cook for many hours the timer only moves up a minute at a time, so you have to push the timer button a lot.Mine registered in Celsius, but I learned somewhere that if you hold the temperature button down for 2 seconds it will change to Fahrenheit. Easier for this American! For under $50 it gets the job done, and as I don’t anticipate using it daily it is just fine for my needs. Very quiet, rings that indicate heating are very helpful. Good water circulation.

Great Sous Vide machone
I have owned this model Sous Vide machine for at least 5 or 6 years. We decided to give them as gifts during the Christmas season to a few of our friends! They loved them. The build quality is very good and they easy to set up for temperature & time. This sous vide machine is extremely quiet and durable. We use ours a lot throughout the year and we have NEVER had an issue!I can highly recommend this machine because of its value for money, ease of use and incredible durability!

Very good price, fast shipping
I used this sous vide machine for a 3.5lb rump roast I bought, seasoned, vacuum sealed and froze a couple weeks ago. I couldn't wait to try this machine out, so I thawed the roast completely and filled the recently purchased 12L tub with hot water from the tap, inserted the roast, set the temp at 132.9 degrees F, set timer for 21 hours. In 4 minutes it was up to temp and started counting down. After the 21 hours had elapsed, the machine turned off. I then removed the roast from the water bath and let it cool a bit, dried it off and refrigerated it for about 4 hours (dinner time). I put an excellent layer of more seasoning on all sides and seared that baby on all sides very well. After a 20 minute rest, it was sliced as thinly as I could and...IT WAS DELICIOUS!! This machine did an excellent job and I am so glad I found it on Amazon while it was on sale. A most excellent purchase, fast shipping, excellent seller. If it ever breaks I will buy another. Highly recommend this product and seller.
