The stories were interesting, but there were only four. I suggest adding a couple more, and possibly including comprehension questions.

It's a nice, entertaining way of learning Finnish
It's a nice, entertaining way of learning Finnish. The English interpretation at the end of each Finnish phrase means you don't have to keep referring back to another page. A complete Finnish and English version of all the short stories at the end of the book is a great way to test how your previously learnt Finnish flows.

ok - could be better with additional stories
Perfect for intermediate or advanced-intermediate level learning. It is difficult to find much at that level. Content is book- or academic finnish language alternating with equivalent english sentences for instant feedback on comprehension. What I didn't care for is that 52 of 89 pages of the book was parallel text, the remaining was a repeat of the stories all in finnish, then repeat all in english. So in effect you get 1/2 of a book (58% if you are an engineer) for your money. I suppose for 3 dollars I shouldn't complain but that came as a surprise after I downloaded it. My recommendation to the company would be to usefully fill the entire book with parallel text stories and eliminate the other sections. They don't add any value.

I think the idea of this book is good, but the execution could be better.
I ordered this book on amazon and I was a bit disappointed.I found misspellings in the book, and often the Finnish and the English not necessarily match (the translation into English will add more words to the text without explaining why it did so).Although the book says that you don't need to use a dictionary to understand the Finnish text, I needed to use a google translation often.Half of the book is Finnish stories with their translation and the other half of the book are the exact same stories once in English and once in Finnish separately. Why is it necessary?I think the idea of this book is good, but the execution could be better.

book is great for someone who is between beginner and intermediate
book is great for someone who is between beginner and intermediate, good examples of all the cases and various grammar. it avoids any complicated vocabulary. i found it very useful
