Loved threading my granny’s buttons as a kid…..
This is the next step!! Threading these is so fun for my girls. They match colors with the shapes, match SHAPES. Counting, sorting, patterns, sooo many things can be done with these little flat shapes. Threading them is the most fun for me when I play with them AND this is great for developing fine motor skills!

Be careful!
My 2.5 yr old enjoys playing with these. Be careful though because they do fit in the mouth. My LO has scared me 2x from putting them in mouth and gagging. They are put up for now until no longer mouthing as much.

One string was broken but my kids loved it
This toy was great for my children to work on to help them, but one of the strings was fringed on both ends.

Color & shape not evenly distributed
Love the size and color of these! But unfortunately they are not evenly distributed by color and shape. I ordered 3 boxes hoping to make party favors with one of each color and shape on a string, but ran out of rectangles, ovals, purple, and yellow. Now I have a leftover box of all the other shapes and colors that won’t work for what I wanted them for.

Laces get stuck
My daycare kids love the concept..but the laces bunch up at the ends when the kids are trying to remove the “buttons”

Lace too thick for holes in the pieces
I bought them for my 18month old son. He loves to play with them sorting the colors (reason for 3stars). It’s okay if you want to teach colors and shapes, but the lace is too thick making it difficult even for me to pull the coins through it and tale it off from the other end ( hence not a great motor activity for kids-it might even frustrate them)

The two sets did not have equal shapes and colours
The picture shows two sets of the buttons sorted. Note only one yellow square button. Very disappointed as this was for math shape and colour sorting. Would be amazing to have equal shapes and colours to sort. I do not recommend and I am surprised that it was labeled as Montessori
