Carboy Caps – 4 Pk Silicone Caps for Fermenting in 3/5/6 Gallon Glass Jugs – Homebrew Wine, Beer, Mead

I love these - they fit really securely on the carboy and are very easy to get an airlock into. Not so easy to get the airlock out, but I prefer that over the airlock coming out on its own. The extra nubs for holding caps is a fantastic feature, and you can take the cap off the opening your airlock isn't in to more easily get the airlock out without chancing sucking some of the water in. These fit common carboys, but unfortunately not my big 30L carboys, which is regrettable as I had to get a similar but inferior (more plasticy with similar two prongs for openings but no cap-holding nubs).

It’s high quality, but isn’t truly universal. I have a 1974 6.5 gallon glass with a screw-on cap, and the cap does not fit. I can press the cap against the lid tightly for the sake of starting a syphon (racking cane in one hole, blow on the other hold *pause*) but other than that it’s useless to me. If it does fit your carboy, it’s a great product

These carbon caps work very well easy to install and clean. I have several different mugs of carboys including a few old 5 gal water bottles each one sealed very securely

I just received these and they are well built. Not having tested it i felt it was slightly too easy to put on the carboy. I know silicone corks try to pop even with the bubbler releasing gas. Even though I am slightly reserved because it was easy to install, even if it proves to be an issue I can wrap 1 zip tie around the base and secure it where it took 23 1/2 ties to secure the cork because I had nothing to grab and basically had to build a champagne cork cage from scratch. Probably 5 stars!

Works on 3 and 5 gal glass carboys. Fit is snug and no more worries about the bung coming out. Reasonably priced and easy to use. Very happy with purchase!

I am an early home brewer and bought these so I wouldn't have to mess with fitting bungs. I couldn't get the right size bung, or it would slip out. This product completely fixed that problem and then some! You can fashion one into a blowoff apparatus if you connect tubing to it, and it works great! I threw away all of the other bungs I had and I use this cap EXCLUSIVELY. I will be buying these from now on.

These silicone carboy caps are excellent, easy to use and provide a tight seal, they stretch and seal around the carboy opening. These caps are a quality product. ​I use them on the 11.5, 19, and 23 liter carboys made in Italy and Mexico , no issues at all. Some wine when it has a little of residual sugar content left may creature pressure and pop caps off the carboys because of the tight fit. In these cases I will then stretch an elastic band around the cap to give it greater holding power.

Bought these and they fit very well on the carboy. Sit in place and don't pop off. I prefer these over any other bung I have. A modern and effective take on cork/hard Silicone bungs.
