I'm becoming a die hard fan of Pro Raso shaving cream. This tin has some of their "pre-shave" treatment -- seems to help a bit on my neck's sensitive spots -- cream, and aftershave balm. This variety's mild apple & lime scent is refreshing and brisk, without being overpowering. When I bought the tin, the total price was less than the combined cost of the contents purchased separately, so what a deal! The tin is rather nice too -- quaint retro design -- and can be reused for keeping other things in.I've found the pre-shave is more than just a luxury, when I do a few things before lathering up (I shave after the shower to get my beard soft) it keeps the whiskers moist and soft for a smooth single-blade shave.In all, I like this and the "blue" variety a lot, both for the scents, quality, and value-for-dollar. This shaving set is excellent and at a great value! This is my first shaving set that I bought since I recently got into wet shaving with double edge razors and it definitely is a very pleasant introduction into the wet shave world. When it comes to the smell, it is also mild and pleasant, more on the mild cologne type smell rather than the soapy/ivory smells that other shaving soaps have such like Arko. The kit comes with everything needed to get a complete shave and to leave your skin baby smooth. It has a very nice lather as well and very slick. Also if you have sensitive skin, this set is great with that! Overall an excellent product and would definatelly recommend as a starter set, gift, or just another shaving kit for the collection!

I've been shaving using a dual edge razor for almost a decade. I've tried many products from different companies across various countries. I've found Proraso products to do a nice job for an affordable price. Here's my routine:1. Hot shower while my badger hair brush soaks in hot water.2. Using Proraso shaving cream, first pass is "with the grain" using my Merkur 34-C razor with Feather (Japan) blades (all can be purchased from Amazon). Feather blades are - by far - the sharpest blades you'll find.3. Second pass is "across the grain" (i.e., not against the grain).4. Now that I'm about to shave closer to the skin, I apply the Proraso pre-shave cream. Does a wonderful job lubricating the skin and preventing red spots or irritation.5. Third pass is "against the grain" and using the "J hook method" on my neck (look up Mantic59's video on YouTube to learn how two do this).6. Fourth pass is "against the grain" again using my Gillette Fusion razor for any clean up and the ability to use the little blade on the back of the razor (usually hear my nose). Because this is only a clean up pass, not much is used and the razors last quite some time to reduce expense.7. Cold water rinse.8. Use a pea-sized amount of "444" aftershave gel and mix in a bit of Proraso aftershave lotion. 444 can be exclusively purchased from ItalianBarber.com and is used to mix with a variety of products to help cool the skin (it's basically concentrated glycerin). People can mix it with cologne, other lotions, aftershaves, etc.9. After it dries down a bit, apply some Creed cologne and I'm good to go!This routine takes about 30 minutes, but your skin is worth it and will feel amazing all day long. I don't get "five o'clock shadow" until at least 10pm.

I love Proraso products and have purchased several this year. They work very well with wet shaving, single edge and double edge razors and whip up a nice lather that protects the skin. You can't beat Proraso for the quality and price! Give it a try and you won't regret it!

Good kit

The nice tin was crushed upon arrival. I would have liked for the tin to still be usable but I guess it had a rough time traveling to me. The items in the tin were fine and the products are excellent. We will definitely be back for more.
