Is this product safe for wool rugs/carpets?

It's supposed to be. BUT I would try it on a small inconspicuous area to be sure. I have antique Karistan wool rugs and have been tempted to try it but haven't done so. Sorry

Yes you can. And it works very well

It doesn't bleach my carpet, but you have to steam clean carpet after applying.
