Understanding Fashion History Paperback – 12 November 2004

Great product. Arrived quickly and great value for money.

I purchased this book 3 weeks ago and during this time this book was advertised with a completely different book cover ! The book advertised in photo on Amazon was with a museum mannequin and antique blue dress. Not as the one received !I think the 'real book cover', NOW visible on Amazon of this book is awful and poorly chosen, as you can see .. modern post Art deco ladies from the 30s ? for a book only about 18th Century fashion clothes and 19th century clothes but I have to say that the contents of the book are extremely interesting, beautiful colour photos and clear illustrations and very well written.I would recommend this book after all, if you like me are in love with the 18th Century Fashion and clothes ! Absolutely ok for the beautiful photos and contents but not certainly for the book cover.

I agree, the cover does not do justice to the subject. Another course suggestion but the author explains fashion collections rather than techniques.
