It can be put in the upper rack of your dishwasher, but it's not recommended because the extremely hot water and harsh dishwasher detergents can affect the appearance. Additionally, the gasket on the lid may be damaged - hand washing is recommended by the manufacturer.

Q: Is this the real genuine thermos?

I would assume but not really sure. I can say mine works great at keeping drinks hot.

Q: You’ve gotten some very poor reviews about the lids breaking and it leaking have you fix this issue.

I have dropped this mug so many times from the car on hard floor. The lid steel has been dented but nothing broke inside, all the mechanisms are intact. I kind of like the dent, helps me to find where the sipping hole is in the dark.
