will it work on a hitachi 4 1/2” grinder?

I don’t know about the Hitachi 4 1/2 , but it works on a Bosch 5 “ and a Makita 7” most likely it will work on the Hitachi. I had to purchase a universal nut with centering washer at Home Depot or Lowe’s

Is this disc compatible with a galaxia angle grinder?

Yes, it will work. It comes with a bushing to fit a five-eights arbor. Make sure the disc isn't touching the gaurd before turning on your tool. If it does touch, remove the gaurd. These tools can be dangerous, use a full face mask, clamp your wood firmly to a stable surface, and hold the grinder firmly with two hands. It's a great tool once you get used to it. I prefer these to the expensive arbortech planers.
