You get what you pay for, and this seemed to be a horrible waste of money. This device seemed to be defective in multiple ways.At first, to connect to wifi, it took me over six attempts, using the same SSID and password for my home router, and multiple reboots of the AnyCast. Finally when I did get it to connect, and managed to enter the web-interface, the system update ran and I had to re-start over with the entire, 'refusing to connect' scenario.I researched online, and found that the AnyCast FAQ's are horribly written. Not only are there grammatical errors that a native English speaker would not have made, the primary solution they recommended was to replace the power source for the device. I used two different 5v/1Amp adapters and got the same results from each. While online, I found that many other people have had similar troubles with the 'M2' device, which is what I purchased. After fiddling with it for many hours, i was able to get it to repeatedly connect to my home wifi in Airplay mode. However, I was not able to get the MiraCast mode to work at all. It never created the AP when in Miracast mode, thus I could not get it to function in the MiraCast mode.To try work around this, I downloaded a AirPlay app for my computer to used it to Cast my Google page to the TV's HDMI input. This is when I found that the AnyCast device was resetting itself and would drop the connection.Lastly, I found that when I turned my TV off, but still had the AnyCast plugged in, the resetting AnyCast would active the power-on signal of the HDMI, which turned my TV on randomly.I would not recommend this product, even if you cannot afford a more expensive one. Better to wait for a FireStick, or a ChromeCast to go on sale.

Cluttered video & no support for Linux
+ support for Android+ the audio is flawless- the video looks like a slideshow- tried an open source Linux driver on a PC but to no avail- you have to press a button on the device to switch between Windows/Android and Mac mode and it doesn't remember your last used mode

It works, kinda
First off, the button that toggles Apple to Android/Windows is now located so you can’t reach it (think of an HDMI cable plugged in that you need to access the part towards the TV) Next, even after setting it up your preference to Android/Windows, I have found you still need to toggle it via the button or your system won’t recognize it. Once this is done it works fine.BUT you need to take these steps every time. It’s not saved to memory
