Bargain and works well
Superbly packaged on arrival, Iโve kept that for its long-term home after carefully opening the box. Nicely made and easy to set up, comes with some extra tips and a reel of 0.8mm flux cored wire, as well as the usual combined hammer/wire brush and folding fixed-tint mask. I donโt use either of the latter bits because I bought an auto mask and decent brush as the same time so canโt comment on them. Itโs flux-cores d so a bit spitty in use but does good welds once youโre dialled in. Iโm new to welding and purchased this after watching many videos on YT to understand what I wanted. This was the cheapest on sale at the time and Iโm very happy for what I paid. Recommended for a newbie with. No ambitions to go up to gassed welds.

Pleasantly surprised, Welder above expectations.
As an other reviewer stated was a bit apprehensive about buying this welder due to lack of reviews. I am however glad I took the chance fantastic little welder. I am by no means an expert welder but his machine makes welding thinner materials (car body panels etc) so much easier than my old welder. The dial controls allow far more control than my old welder which had the typical hi/lo and level 1/2 control switches. The welder itself is light and compact, handy for taking to jobs away from my garage. It is by no means a heavy duty unit built for the rigours of rough workshop life but treated with the respect I give my tools I'm sure it will more than meet my needs (if you want a bullet proof industrial strength unit expect to pay an awful lot more) My mate who has his own garage and can weld very well couldn't believe the quality of welds he could get from a mere flux core gasless welder, this was with the wire supplied with the machine he reckons it will be even better with some good SIP wire. Came well packaged and Luke at Static Arc was a gentleman when I contacted him.

Overall impression, good value.
I am new to welding and bought this as my first machine. It came well packaged and on time. Unfortunately it wouldn't load the wire properly. Eventually I dismantled the unit and discovered that the wire inlet port had not been assembled incorrectly and was out of alignment. Once I had rectified this everything worked great. As I said at the beginning, I am new to welding but have had some great results already with this little machine.

Brilliant tool
I was a bit wary of this because of the lack of reviews, but after comparing it with similar welders, I went for it. I'm VERY glad I did. I've been using a stick welder for quite a long time, but it turned out that I'm hopeless at stick welding small pieces of metal, or dissimilar metals. This welder gives me the fine control I needed, and I doubt I'll ever use my stick welder again. It should be noted that I was particularly looking for one that didn't have a constantly live gun. This one explicitly states that it doesn't, whereas a lot of welders advertised here don't even mention it. I found it a real boon being able to line it up before pressing the trigger. Would I buy it again? A great bIg YES. (btw I'm still not a very good welder, just a bit of DIY. But this welder makes it a LOT easier)

Excellent piece of equipment so easy to use
The mig welder is excellent so easy to setup and use, very lightweight for me to carry about to different jobs and value for the money I paid

Was a great purchase
As an absolute beginner in welding it was hard to know where to turn to and this welder has served me well. The one thing I would say is to throw the welding wire that comes with it in the bin! I really struggled to get a good weld to begin with, then when I ran out of the original spool and put in a Forney welding spool things suddenly got much much better!!

Well worth it
I got this to do odd jobs around the house and garage. I am a first time welder, so watched lots on YouTube, so can only give a amateur view. Found it small light weight but very good quality and easy to use. Well worth it and already found different jobs for it, that I would not have thought about. Highly recommended

Promising welder with plenty of adjustment
I like the fact that the welder came in a sturdy case and needed to be set up from scratch. The welder is quite powerful and needs some learning time to get things just right. I need to play more and get used to the art of welding I guess! One criticism is that it does not recommend 0.8mm wire and comes with overkill 1mm wire. The spanner tool looks useless, doesn't seem to fit anything relevant and is not mentioned in the manual. Some settings suggestions would be useful for various thicknesses to get us novices started, but I reckon with a few hours and days practise, I shall be pleased to have this piece of kit.
