Monitor XT90 Dolby Atmos Certified Height Speaker. Pair of 2

These are good quality basic atmos speakers, they sound very neutral especially voices sound like voices, the sound is just flat, I only use as height speakers but when in 7 channel all stereo mode on yamaha av receiver they sound good, obviously not a lot of bass but for atmos I use 90hz crossover to subwoofer and it's all I need, recommend definitely for the price.

So far so good. For the price I'm happy with the power of these when hooked up to my Denon AVR x1800. I was never convinced by upwards firing speakers bouncing sound off a ceiling, and looked for speakers that could be wall mounted and therefore, ceiling mounted. The difficult part is finding where the joists are in the ceiling. The £25 Stanley stud detector from Toolstation was a complete waste of time, rubbish. The best thing to use is a strong magnet which can pickup where the ceiling plasterboard has been screwed into the joists. and that allowed me to map out where they were and therefore screw in a pan head screw into them. This allows you to mount them easily and quickly above you facing right down to where you sit. It has significantly improved my sound experience and I wish I'd done this 5 years ago.... I don't see how spending £350+ on the speakers from places like richer sounds would be worth that additional money.

I initially bought a pair of these to add as upfiring Atmos speakers to sit ontop of my existing floorstanders (another brand). I was quite impressed by them, but decided to wall mount them near the ceiling for a comparison... and was absolutely blown away! I was so impressed that I ordered another pair! I now have two mounted at near ceiling height at the front of the room and two in the same position at the rear. My AVR is able to change them from upfiring to height/wall mounted and they sound SO different/better. If you can only upfire, I don't think it will disappoint you, but if you can wall mount them and have the capacity within your setup to change how they fire, then you will be blown away! They come with a handy wall mounting guide and template which was extremely useful.

I was expecting disney plus atmos programmes to really blow me away. Alas I was merely impressed. They add a slight bit of drama but not as much as hoped for. Am I glad I made the purchase? Yes, only because I can't afford high end stuff and this is the best I can afford. If i had the money, I'd invest in something that gives me proper drama.

These speakers actually work with Atmos and anything that needs height effects. I used to have some onkyo ones but removed them as they did nothing. I can only comment on these speakers being used as height speakers but I am delighted with these. The sound quality is really good but I have to mention the build quality is amazing. I had an accident when putting these up and one fell from around 10 feet😥 I was certain they were going to be broken but asides from some exterior cosmetic damage the speaker is working fine 😃

Excellent, paired with a Denon AVR 760 and 79 strand speaker cable. Not sure id I should raise them higher to bounce of the insulated panel roof of the garden room for best placement, may try it to see. definitely adds that extra dimension. Subtle not over powering. Use decent quality speaker cable

I recently upgraded my AV receiver to one capable of providing Dolby Atmos and these speakers were purchased to complete the set up. They appear to be well made and work perfectly with the rest of my system. I am really pleased with the end result.

I'll admit, I questioned whether adding height speakers would really make that much of a difference. After installing the Polk Monitor XT90s on top of my XT70 tower speakers, I quickly realized why so many home theater enthusiasts recommend them. The biggest improvement wasn't that sounds were louder—it was that movies felt more immersive. Rain, aircraft, and ambient effects have a sense of height that wasn't there before. Instead of all the sound coming from around the TV, it feels like it fills the room. Installation was incredibly simple since they're designed to sit directly on top of the compatible Polk XT towers. They look like they belong there, making the setup clean and seamless without needing to mount speakers on the ceiling. Like the rest of the Monitor XT series, the sound is clear and well-balanced. They blend naturally with the rest of my system instead of calling attention to themselves, which is exactly what you want from height speakers. If you're already building a Dolby Atmos setup with Polk Monitor XT speakers, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these. They're one of those upgrades you don't fully appreciate until you hear the difference for yourself. For my home theater, they completed the experience, and I'm really glad I decided to add them.

Love the price on open box Polk Xt 90"s deal. Bought 2 pair in case I upgrade to 9 channel amp.... For now they complete my Denon 970 avr / just purchased.Wow...killer reciever... Klipsch reference series 5 speakers...bought in 2006 and still incredible and clean... This upgrade is now a 5.1.2 set up... Polk are the .2 height fronts on my Klipsch Reference towers... Watching The Oilers in 4k on my Samsung QLED 9 Series 65 inch.. ALL my equipment is open box or Display/End of year deals..... WAIT for the discounts and you can save a shit ton!!! POLK has always been a good name for a reason and my little height speakers were 1/4 price of the Klipsch ones... So for what a height speaker provides ....This was a no Brainer . 😊

Great speakers! I first bought the XT20’s and I liked them so much I replaced all my 7.1 speakers with the Polk Monitor range, including these ceiling reflection XT90’s! Crisp and clear, they sound great for Dolby Atmos overhead audio. Highly recommended!
