Poor product, avoid - lamp fails to live up to longevity claims of manufacturer and light quality isn't the best
I have now purchased 5 of these GX53 LEDs over the last two years; each has failed within a matter of months. Hence, my negative but considered review.I am afraid that this LED lamp does not live up to the name of the manufacturer - the Long Life Lamp Company - nor the promises of longevity it offers on the Amazon website. An average life of 30,000 hours is claimed on Amazon's website; I suspect that the actual average which my five bulbs achieved is no more than 1,500 hours - about 5% of that claimed and upon which the product was sold. Five percent! Other than possibly BT Broadband (in my experience), what other product falls so far short of what it offers? It would appear to me to be a clear breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, as my experience would suggest that this product is not fit for purpose and clearly "not as described". One would need to buy twenty of these bulbs to deliver the life which is claimed for a single bulb. At £8 a bulb, that means that one has to spend over £160 to achieve the promise of a single bulb. The word "con" comes to mind. What of the lamp when it is working? The quality of the light is ok, better than some (e.g. LEDBRITE GX53) but not as good as some others. My advice would be to avoid - these LLLC lamps seriously under-perform, cannot be relied-upon, and over time will cost a fortune in replacements. There are better quality alternatives available - better in terms of light output, quality of build, and longevity. I suspect that they are safer too. For example, the Megaman 7W GX53 lamp is much brighter, the quality of the light is much more attractive, and it is better built. It also appears to last; the single unit which I bought from Amazon UK in August 2015 has by now achieved something like 5000 hours without issue. Definitely superior and far better value. The above review is based upon my considerable experience of LED lamps and some lessons learned along the way. We adopted LED lamps relatively early, some seven years ago, and with the odd exception, such as this Long Life Lamp Company GX53 lamp, we have been extremely pleased. Indeed, we have almost 200 LED lamps in our house - primarily Philips. Most of them - a mix of GU10, E27, and B22 lamps - are now 7 years old; all have performed without a single problem. This puts the poor performance and life of these LLLC GX53 lamps into perspective and explains the reason why I have decided to write this review. My recommendation when buying LED lamps is to buy a known brand, where possible; the quality of the product, the light produced, longevity, and safety are all likely to be superior to that of some of the unbranded or lesser known brands. With LED lamps, generally speaking you get what you pay for, and as the price have fallen considerably over recent years, it is worth paying a few pounds more. Why take a chance? Unfortunately, the choice is more limited when it comes to some of the more specialist sizes, such as GX53 and G4, so it can be more difficult to source a quality product at a reasonable price. To conclude - do yourself a favour and look elsewhere for a decent GX53 LED lamp. Don't make my mistake. As noted above, I can recommend the Megaman 7W (available in cool white and warm white). I am now going to buy some more of the Megamans to replace the failed Long Life Lamp Company product.

Replaced old fluorescent tube bulbs
Replaced old fluorescent tube bulbs. They work fine, are brighter than the originals and come on instantly. Work in circuit with fluorescent bulbs with no problem.Waiting to see how long they last,

extremely bright
I purchased three of those to replace the existing fluorescent ones on my under kitchen units lights. They are much brighter, with power consumption for all three of them less in total compare to just one of the fluorescent ones. So, i ended up with much brighter kitchen work top area and i am going to spend less(in a long term) for electricity bills - i think is a no brainer, yes I highly recommend those light bulbs. Even if they don't last as long as advertised(30 000 hours) i still thing is money well spend.

Does the job
Have used the same bulb for all kitchen underlighting. Longevity is OK. Price is a tad expensive as I paid £4.99 per bulb and that has jumped to £6.99 in last order.

Bright, but not convinced it's 6000k colour temp.
This light is very bright compared to the previous non-LED 7W GX53 bulbs I've bought, so I'm very impressed, however I'm not convinced it's 6000k, it seems more like 5000k (My existing bulbs are 6400k and very "blue-white" this LED bulb is a closer match to the tungsten bulbs in the room). Therefore personally I need 6400k to match the rest of my non-tungsten lighting ... but like I say... very bright.
