Very well made, but not an exact fit, not sure if maybe my stock was replaced before I got it.

I'm very happy with his coil pad it doesn't fit exactly you have to bondo the holes then drill it and screw it in then it will fit exactly this is an excellent product I highly recommend it. But it fits so close enough I don't really mess with it because I might want to make changes. My rifles are always a work in progress..

For my Winchester 94 Ranger it fit good but not just good enough. The screw holes do not quite match to the existing butt plate holes. They are off ever so slightly to the point of having to drill out the holes on the butt pad. This butt pad probably the closest in fit you will find.

I was disappointed on the poor fit on a very standard, Model 94 Winchester rifle. The top of the stock was at least 3/8" taller than the pad. I ended up ordering a grind to fit pad. I had the same experience with a Pachmayr prefit pad for my 870 Shotgun. I highly recommend you measure your stock, order a grind to fit pad and take it to a gunsmith for installation, unless you have your own belt sander with mid and fine grain belts. Even then you will risk damaging your stock finish unless you really know what you are doing.I did try this at the range even if it did not fit well, and it diminished the recoil to the point where it was nearly as little as my .22 rifle as opposed to the pounding a .30-30 can give your shoulder when you are practicing with a full box of ammo. My only complaint was I expected a better fit on a really standard factory rifle stock. Ditto with the 870 pad.

I bought this for a Winchester 94 AE 357 made in 2004. When mounted the pad is too low top to bottom and too far to the right at the bottom and too far the left at the top. I tried loosening the screws and wiggle it into a better fit but no go. It was made oversized and the screw holes do not line up with the stock. Would fit if grinded down but not worth risking $29 over.
