KW3A Microwave Oven Door Switch 16A 125V/250V Door Interloc (2 Normally Open and 1 Normally Close)

Had a problem Sunday with microwave not shutting off. Ordered the new micro switches before 6 pm and received them by 11:30 am the next day! Perfect, while I had the top panel off, it had a broken piece for one of the screws. I used a plastic welder and fixed it nicely to hold again. Quick change out on the switches, put back together, and working again for $10.00. You can use a YouTube video for replacing microwave door switches if you’ve never done this before. Just follow instructions for easy installation. Save a service call and a big bill for the repair! Cost effective and perfect replacement fit!

If you have a little know how these will save you plenty of money by repairing your microwave yourself. I replaced the failed switches in my GE unit this past year with these and they're still going strong. They fit perfectly and were easy enough to install into my unit. I've had no issues since installing them and they've been in my unit more than a year now. I'd say they're pretty durable for sure. Do yourself a favor buy these switches and repair your microwave yourself. Just note it's not super clear two switches are normally open and one is closed- use your multimeter to ensure you're installing these in the right locations.

My Fathers microwave kept blowing the breaker, even though it was a dedicated circuit. I had repaired mine so I told him I would take a look at it. The are retired and on a fixed income, so a new microwave would have been difficult for them to purchase. Picked up and the unit and proceeded to test all the major components, thinking if it was tripping the breaker, it was either the capacitor or magnatron. Everthing tested good, so moved to the front of the unit and tested all three door switches. Yep, one was bad. Ordered these, arrived in quick order, installed, which is very easy, and took care of the problem. Very easy fix and was able to save myself some dollars instead of buying them a new microwave. NOTE: 2 switches work normal, no continuity when the door is open(top and bottom switches) 3rd switch works the opposite, continuity when door is open, no continuity when door is closes. Package comes with all three, but need to test each switch to ensure proper placement.

Worked well but lasted an year and half before breaking

Fixed my microwaves no issues. I have a frigidaire lfmv1846vfa and it would light up but not make any noises when trying to cook. Simple replacement and works great now.

Pretty sweet that you can fix an oldy but goody microwave for $10 and 1/2 hr do it yourself time!

I have an 8 year old Frigidaire microwave. It started work intermittently. The door closure was a clue. If i held the door in tight, the microware would work. Knowing a little about microwaves, I figured the switches were bad. So I ordered these switches and replaced them all. All I needed was a good light and a pair of longnose pliers to pull the wire plugs off the old switch. I had an ohm meter so I checked to for the switch that was normally closed (the button not pushed in). The other two were normally open (the button not pushed in). All I had to do is pull the wire clip off the end of each old switch and push it onto the new switch. So I replaced the switches making sure to replace the normally closed with the new normally closed one. The switches fit perfectly. Just had to make sure the pin goes into the hole on the switch for proper alignment in the switch holder. But make sure to replace the old normally switch with the new normally closed switch. Us an ohm meter or continuity checker. Put the cover back on and it works perfectly. Great switches.

Worked perfectly. 10 minutes. Out with the old, in with the new....microwave fixed.
