K-Pax Omnibus Featuring Prot's Report

The book is thought provoking even if you’ve seen the movie and the movie was great. Setting aside the assortment of oddball characters, it is a social commentary on our way of life as seen by an “alien” who is of course viewed as insane.

I love the K-PAX series from 1 to 5, and I was beyond thrilled to see they FINALLY have released the trilogy omnibus for kindle. I enjoy Dr. Brewer’s style of writing, and if you’ve seen the movie and liked it, guess what? You have four more wonderful stories to read about visitors from K-PAX! Even if you have no idea what this is all about, anyone with an affinity for science fiction or the human condition will have a blast dissecting these novels.

K-Pax has long been one of my favourite movies and I have been meaning to get around to reading the book for quite a while now. I'm glad I did.This is quite easy reading and I would highly recommend it for anyone who is a fan of the movie, the first book in the trilogy covers all of the events of the movie while the remaining two books take you further into Prot's journey with Dr Brewer.Get it, Read it!

A great series that has an unique way telling us humans that we are guests on this magnificent planet and if we are not very careful we will wear out our welcome and join the many extinct species that once enjoyed life on earth...

It's a great triology. The point is not whether port is who he claims he is or not. It's his way of seeing things, which makes you question your own moral standards

Its well conserved and has all the pages in it's place. No marks and scratches. Althoug it was sent to mexico it spend more than I thought to recibe it.

I don't think much of the child abuse parts and nothing really new. It does complete a movie which is a little incomplete. Sending a hunter from earth to another world at light speed so he can have a good time hunting the large animals there is funny. You could make another movie with some writing since the Brewer version is not very good.

By far one of my favorite pyschological mysteries which is extremely well written by a pyschiatrist and reads like a detective story. It actually helps to watch the movie first that stars Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges. However the book of course explains muchmore since the movie is based only on the first book. The story flows and the plot thickens at every turn. I couldn't put it down. What I enjoy about Dr Brewer's books in this relatively cheap complete trilogy is that the mystery remains upto the very end and beyond as you are left with your own imaginative interpretation. This book is a must read for anyone interested in psychoanalysis and science fiction of the highest order similar to Carl Sagan's book Contact which I highly recommend as well as the eponymous movie. Enjoy this most underrated series of novels.more in greater detail and goes way beyond the movie of the same title that is based on book one alone. I really had hoped for two more sequels based on the remaining two books.

Incredible book. Only read the first one so far but couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait to read it all.

Die Geschichte gefällt mir sehr,die Zustandsbeschreibung des Buches mit „sehr gut“ ist aber völlig falsch.Es ist abgenutzt, hat Flecken, die Seiten sind teils gewellt, geknickt und dreckig.Das Buch würde ich wieder kaufen, aber nicht bei diesem Händler.

Ne connaissant pas l'auteur, ne sachant pas qu'il y avait eu un film, j'ai adoré cette trilogie.L'histoire de prot, individu venant d'une autre planète ou problème de personnalité. Le tout vu et raconté par son psychiatre.Prot nous fait voir une vision d'une vie parfait, loin de la réalité d'aujourd'hui.Je recommande vivement, un brin entre science-fiction et drame humain.
