Nice braided cable for my Bose headphones
The cable that came with my Bose headphones was very thin and flimsy, this is way better, robust connectors and good quality braiding.

Works great for Shure Aonic 50 Headphones
Bought this to replace the (rubber, non-braided) 3.5mm to 2.5mm TRS-TRRS cable which shipped with my Shure Aonic 50 headphones (also used in their Aonic 40 model). I can confirm it works perfectly for analog input to those headphones, and is a real physical improvement over the Shure cable. Even though it wasn't shown in the product photo, mine came with an additional 3.5mm to 1/4" TRS adapter that screws on to the larger connector, great for connecting to a sound board's monitor jack or higher-quality headphone amps. Metal spring-style strain-relief sleeves on both ends of the cable too, which also appear well-designed and built with quality. Edit: I've noticed other reviews mention acoustic coupling being an issue, due to the material and braiding. This means when physically rubbing/sliding the cable against a shelf, armrest, etc. it will transfer that vibration into the headphone its plugged into. That's certainly true and might make this particular style of braided cable inappropriate for certain ergonomic situations. But this physical vibration happens mechanically, not touching the electrical signal carried by the cable, so for a monitoring, mixing, recording etc. it's a non-issue. For my personal use so far, it's easy to ignore and desensitize to the cable rubbing sounds, but this will of course depend on the user and headphone model.

An essential for airline travel if you have Bose headphones
Whoever was the stupid PM at Bose to decide to have a cable with two different plugs would be a good idea: a 2.5mm on one side and a 3.5mm on the other??? Hence the need for this ‘special’ cable. Bose also charges an arm and a leg for this- hence you turn to 3rd party suppliers. This one has a good length and the nylon braiding makes it ‘stick’ to the inside of the Bose headphone case which is great. Why they chose to have the 3.5mm straight and the 2.5mm at an angle is a complete mystery to me. The 3.5mm goes into you seat/ AES, I.e. this is truly where you want an angled (ideally 90, not 45 degrees!). The 2.5mm end goes into the headphones, where it typically goes straight down (gravity!) and really no angle is needed. Just my 50 cents. (That we still need an Audi on cable to connect to an AES is painful, but that’s a different story entirely)
