Veg Tan Leather Topgrain Craft Pieces 3 lbs Large Size Scrap, Shapes

I am just starting out making my own leather knife sheaths and wanted some cheaper leather to practice with. These are perfect, I got 10 pieces that will each make a sheath, might even get 2 smaller ones out of a few. All are similar (heavy) weight and quality. None are perfect, but nothing that won't be trimmed or hidden with a little texture. Will order again.

I bought this got it but let me start by saying I just started out stamping leather I was having a hard time trying to figure it out so I sent it back these guys have a really great leather company try them you will like it

I am really surprised at the quality and usability of these leather scraps. I was excepting maybe a few good pieces and some I won't be able to use but that is far from what I received. I received a uniform stack of leather pieces, weighed exactly 3 lbs with only 1 piece that I had to cut off any branding, curling or imperfections and I have included a picture to show what was the only "unusable" piece in the lot. I am getting back into tooling leather after not being able to do it for 20 years and was looking for pieces to practice on. I saw other brands but they didn't have the best reviews so I decided to take a chance with these. I am so happy I did. Each piece is approx. 8-10 oz and about 9" x 7". These would be great for bracelets, small holsters or keychains. If you are on the fence about ordering these scrap, just do it!

Meh, it’s so-so. Some good pieces and some garbage with really bad flesh side. I use it for practicing my various stamps. If that is all your buying it for it works. To heavy for anything I would use it for other then the above but then again I still suck at leather work LOL.

I've started learning how to carve/tool leather and this leather has been the perfect canvas to practice on! It's clean, cuts are almost the size of plain copier paper, back is very very clean. Would love to get larger quantities and other weights to practice more. Anyways, I'll be buying again!

The amount of leather I received was a few oz under 2 pounds. It is very heavy leather and most of the pieces are good sized and workable. Some have tannery stamps and numbers etched, but for scrap leather it's decent quality.

All 5 pieces (3lbs) of mostly 10 oz non blemished veg tanned leather perfect for tooling/stamping and more.I am extremely pleased and will return for more.
