We’ve had this product for easily 6 years now and it still works perfectly for removing food from most utensils. I first purchased it when we did not have a dishwasher hoping to make our lives easier by being able to wash tricky utensils like tongs, knives and to speed up hand washing silverware. This brush does all of that. the bristles are firm enough to remove stuck on food but not too firm that they scratch or damage utensils. More recently we’ve moved into a home with a dishwasher and I was honestly a little sad thinking that this tool would become obsolete in our lives but I have continued using it time and time again, mostly for handwashing knives. Sure, you can use a sponge or other more traditional brush to wash your knives but the ease that this product provides is worth every penny and helps me feel safer because it’s much less likely I’ll accidentally slice my finger when using it. I’m going to buy one of these for each of my friends and family this next holiday season, or for any housewarming parties or wedding presents. It really is such a useful tool and I can imagine it is a bit more accessible for someone with decreased motor function or eyesight to use as well. 10/10.

I cut myself washing dishes one day and found this while browsing Amazon, so I gave it a shot to protect my fingers in the future. It works better than I thought it would! The construction is very simple: hard plastic shell and two sets of bristles in between. You just hold it like you would fold a sponge over, but this way there's no slipping and your fingers are kept at a safe distance away. The bristles are somewhat firm but haven't damaged any of my dishes in any way. In addition to washing sharp knives, it's good for any kind of utensil also; I use it for most of my silverware and some flat plastic spoons or spatulas. It doesn't come apart, so to clean it, I just rinse it and hang it over my dish drainer to dry, or soak it in cleaning solution when it gets really grimy (rarely). I imagine it would do fine in the dishwasher, but I don't have one. I do think the design could be better. I wish there was a way to apply more pressure to either side of the plastic shell so the bristles could scrub harder and make better contact with the dishes. Some of my forks and butter knives are pretty skinny so the bristles just barely touch them and I have to sort of adjust them more to get them in contact with the bristles. You really need to soak the utensils first to loosen dry food because there's no easy way to scrub more vigorously. If the plastic were a little more flexible, it would also be great for other types of dishes, like the rims of bowls or cups. Still though, recommended if you're a klutz...I can also see this being good for elderly or physically disabled people, as long as they have the ability to grip the plastic outside.

This is a handy, well built tool with a clean design and fun colorful look. It makes washing silverware and kitchen utensils so much faster. It is made of a durable plastic with strong bristles. I would like for it to be a little smaller design since it takes a bit of space and I use it in an RV. It would also be helpful if it had a suction cup to attach to the side of the sink. If it did, I would be able to run the silverware through the cleaner without even having to hold the scrubber which would make it doing dishes even more efficient.

This should be a gadget at everybody's kitchen it works well for knives but the truth of it is it gets in the fork area where washcloth does not work

I am really accident prone! I used to cut myself frequently while washing my knives. It is so easy to clean them now! Just swish your knife through the brush and you're done! The brush is thick so it really does a thorough cleaning! This is one of the favorite purchases I've made in the last year! At $7.95, its definitely worth the cost! I definitely recommend this!

This product is awesome except that it doesn't do good with small knives because you need to apply a lot of pressure on the edges to do its job. The wifey hates that she loves it
