Fun for little who wants a companion..!!
Our little one is a social creature who adores to be with people or pets of any kind.. he loves the interaction so much! But, bc a real pet is not part of the equation for us- we got this to help suffice! Surprisingly, it has hit the mark so far..Love how pup can follow a little one around- it lets child feel in charge and independent in a world at his age- doesn’t happen often enough! Bc of this younger age, we do tend to struggle a bit with the hand gestures. **best way for solid response: make your motions exaggerated, deliberate and slower when doing.. with only one person doing it at a time! Total truth, when pup is sporadic.. I find its just more authentic!! What puppy follows all the rules?! Right..Its a bit to remember the different eye colors that correlate with puppy’s 3 different mode options- leading me to believe this is best suited for kids a bit older.. best for 4-8yr old category. (still young enough to enjoy but old enough to cognitively understand function!)However, if you let pup move through the room on freestyle he seems to do his job of entertaining… The little treats that signal a truck/command- these are perfect **just don’t lose them!!! With a younger child- the treat response is by far the easiest way for them to get results they’re looking for.. which is basically responding to their preprogrammed trick inside the treat bone.. nothing else is needed just to place this in front of them- and boom! Puppy responds-A great gift idea that won’t break the bank.. so far our little one has wanted daily interaction with the puppy which lets me know- he’s enjoying and hasn’t tired easily.. hard to do in toddler world! Hoping this info can help your decision- stay safe.

Child will need some help on using this as it has many functions
You will need: 2 AAA batteriesUSB port into the wall or computerPros:-Comes with directions-My 4 year old likes it and enjoys playing with it, even though she doesn't understand most of the modes.-Company has a no hassle 100% guarantee refund policy-Dog is rechargeable.-Giftable-The remote is fun to play with-It snores and goes to sleep after a few minutes of not playing with it.Cons:-Too many modes for a kids toy:Remote control mode-The button pictures aren't the clearest for kids to understand what it is supposed to do. Sometimes the dog tips over in the dancing mode.Gesture mode- Doesn't work well with having the dog turn right or left. Forward and backward work fine.Adventure mode- When I press the nose I can only get the eyes to turn blue. I can't get the red eyes to show for adventure mode.Program mode- This mode is also confusing to do. I also don't see the purple eyes when trying to perform this mode. You put the bones in the dog's mouth to program steps up to 30 movements it says. Your child will need help with this concept and how it works. My daughter thinks the bones are treats. So, she just puts them in it's mouth. The way it is supposed to work is confusing but wouldn't return this as my daughter enjoys playing with it. She calls it her "Robo dog."

Very cute robotic puppy!
I picked this up for my four-year-old granddaughter -- she loves pets but she can't have one (her mom has allergies!). So I figured this little pink pup would be a ton of fun for her. And it is!The puppy comes with a remote control (you'll need to provide two AAA batteries) and a bunch of little programming keys that can change the mode for the puppy. There's also a charger included, which plugs into the puppy's mouth (the other end has a USB connector that can be plugged into your computer or into a wall socket by adding a plug). It took about 3 hours to fully charge the puppy, and after that, it was active and playable for almost 2 hours. What my granddaughter liked most about this puppy is how easily she could control it with the little remote control. There's a "Dance" button on the control that causes the dog to do funny dance moves (my granddaughter was laughing the whole time!). You can also get the dog to follow you, or just run around, or do tricks. The programming keys are interesting, but young kids can't figure them out on their own. We did use a few (and my granddaughter liked some of the different modes), but she likes the puppy best with just the remote. She just wants to be in control -- and she is!Overall, this is a fun toy for young children! It's cute, funny, and a lot of fun. I do recommend it!

Horrible product!
Honestly this was probably built by a dumb robot. Broke after only 3 months of active play!!! The wheel wouldn't turn and we thought there was hair in the wheel. So, we opened it up. There was more hair in the leg that worked! It's not really that smart anyway. And even once we thought we'd fixed it..., the leg wouldnt close! all of this caused us to lose a gear! I had to get an electrical engineer! And we where luky too, because my dad is the engineer! I would not recommend this at all!!!!!!!!! gonna buy from a different company right now! Don't get this as a present because it will break and the kid will probly start crying. THIS PRODUCT IS A FART! THE 14 DOLLOR ONE IS PROBLY BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😡😡 😡 (I'D rate 0 stars if i could.)

Easier care than a real puppy for your 5 y/o
Cute pet dog with easy remote controls. 5 y/o tester had no problem figuring out the different motions with the remote control. One button control to make doggie dance and play music. Easy sit, stand, step and move buttons on a cute dog paw shaped remote. Comes with small dish with interactive treats. Several interactive pet modes for more advanced play. Realistic sounds So much easier for that child that keeps asking for a real puppy! Uses batteries or a USB charging cord.

Daughter wanted it, but limited
My daughter really wanted a robot dog for Christmas. This one is what we got her and while she loves the demo and dance modes, that is really all she uses. The programming does work, but my 8 year old is less interested in the programming than the preprogrammed dancing. There are hand motions, but they are a bit hit and miss as to whether the robot recognizes them.A month later, this is a toy that only comes out about once a week.
