Kurt Adler Doctor Who Tardis With Wreath Light-up Plastic Christmas Ornament

Christmas stuff. It's not about what you need. It's about what you want. My daughter and I are Doctor Who fans. She has her own place now and made off with my Christmas Tardis. So this is my second purchase of this item. Sturdy, stylish, and timeless. Goes perfect with the Weeping Angel tree topper.

Many have complained about the item they received as being defective. Guess I was lucky as it was not damaged and the batteries were in good condition and in working order. The ornament was packed lightly but it was unbroken and intact.The sales pitch says the wreath on the door lights up. Instead, the windows glow with several changing colors. That's even better. It's a small little ornament that is perfect for a Christmas Tree or anywhere else one wants to put a Tardis. I'm happy with the purchase.

This is a unique collector item.. it's a real quality product. It lights up multiple colors and is a delight for all. It is quality but not heavy enough to hand down on your Xmas tree. This will grace my tree for many years. Shipped fast, good price.

I got this for my grandson for Christmas. I had to take out the batteries and clean them before it would work. It was in an unpadded envelope. The hook at the top was bent. I'm surprised survived the journey. He'll enjoy it, but disappointed in the packing.

This ornament would've been perfect if, pushing the button on the base, it made the noise of the Tardis as it arrives or departs - the sound is iconic. Instead the button merely creates a simply light effect in which the windows of the Tardis traverse the full gamut of rainbow colors. Pretty but lacking in personality.The ornament is powered by three batteries included in the package. The battery compartment is accessed by removing a small screw from the base - easy - so this ornament can be used year after year.Quality is good and if there sound effects it would be exactly what I had hoped for. Unfortunately the base of the Tardis is not removable so if I want to add sound it will be problematic.

Well, what I didn't like is that one of the decals is crooked. It sounds petty but if I come to your house I will straighten your pictures. And as a crafter, I am picky. It's just plain not paying attention and being careful and poor quality control. So that's why a missing star. But, it's on the back so no one will see it. It will still haunt me though. It's a gift for my son who has loved Dr. Who for a long time. I think it looks pretty good other than what I mentioned. I don't see any issues with poor seams or broken windows and the paint job is quite good. I'm happy with it. It had a small piece of plastic sticking out from the battery compartment so I had to pull that out to turn it on. It works great. The windows change color and it's really cute. I put the plastic piece back and I'll go wrap it for Christmas.

This pretty much matches the picture in the advertisement. I haven't powered it up yet to see if it works, but it looks like the police box from the show.

It's a truly lovely piece of Christmassy Who, but.... The light effect is triggered by a simple push button in the base, it only lasts a couple of minutes before you have to press it again. There doesn't seem to be anyway to make it glow for longer, otherwise this'd be a perfect 5 stars.

There seem to be some mixed reviews of this item, so just throwing ours into the mix as well. We're delighted with ours, the detail on it is terrific. It arrived in great condition and looks lovely, no splitting along any of the joints or anything similar and the lights work perfectly. The lights cycle through various different colours and remain on for about 40 seconds or so before going off. It's slightly larger than anticipated so instead of being hung on the Christmas tree it has had its silvery hanging string removed and has been promoted to a bookshelf decoration instead. Very happy with it, I'd recommend it to other fans.
