Don't throw out your current digital conferencing phone yet!The Konexx Konference is not a connection between the phone jack in your wall and your analog conference phone (i.e. your Polycom). In fact, there are very clear instructions upon opening: DO NOT PLUG THE KONEXX KONFERENCE DIRECTLY INTO A TELEPHONE JACK OR DIRECTLY TO A PHONE LINE OF ANY TYPE.The Konexx Konference is a connection between your current phone, connected to your digital telephone jack, and your conference phone, which needs an analog jack.Our offices are connected by a Vodavi digital telephone system, but we wanted a high-quality conferencing phone for our conference room. Not only did the Konexx Konference save us a $100 service fee from our phone company (required to convert the telephone jack from digital to analog), but now we can use either the current digital phone for private conversations in the conference room, or the analog Polycom for conference calls. It's an easy transition, without adjusting any plugs or cords, since both phones are connected to the telephone jack.With the Konexx Konference, we set up the conference call on our digital phone, and then just press the phone key on our Polycom (SoundStation2W Expandable) to pick up the call on the Polycom.One aesthetic annoyance -- since the Polycom call is directed through our digital phone, we have to leave the handset of our digital phone off the hook while making a call on the Polycom. Also, there are a lot more cords with two phones and one jack. But we have a nice side table in our conference room, behind which we hide all of it.This is a great product, with user-friendly directions and diagram for set-up, that's made our conference room more professional and more versatile. Once I had this little jem I was able to use my Polycom Soundstation 2W on my digital phone system. I am so happy to have found this adapter because I was not able to find any conference call systems that could be plugged directly into a digital phone system.A friendly reminder to those who purchase this, do not plug the adapter directly into the phone jack. Follow the directions and plug it into your phone.

This works great for hooking up a Conference Phone (which mostly need Analog Phone Lines) to an older Digital Phone System which have a digital line. We have a Konftel 300 Conference Phone and we setup 2 new conference rooms and unfortunately didn't have Analog Phone line runs in them. So instead of paying money for new analog phone line runs, I gave this a try to hooking up to our old Avaya Digital Phone System. This plugs into your phone then to the Conference Phone, picked the right setting on the switch and it worked right away.It works great 80% of the time. Sometimes thou there is some light hissing sound on our end that can be annoying but we can still hear fine and the client can hear us. In the end this is a great alternative to running new Analog Phone Lines and get us thru to we buy a new phone system.

This plugs into your head set on your phone not into the phone line so you can't make your phone line into analog I am using straight talk serviceand that is a digital phone lineI need analog to operate my thermostat so this would not work for my set up

The Konexx device does function correctly based on the enclosed directions. Audio is definitely a little fuzzier when the device is in line. I used it with a ClearOne wireless Max Attach and found that about all the Konexx actually did was make the ClearOne a wireless speaker and mic. I had to have the phone off the hook so I had mic issues and a little feedback from the handset of the digital phone. I couldn't dial or answer calls with the conference phone. Like I said it works as for what it is designed to do but not what I was hoping it would do.

Needed this device because our new conference phone is analog and would not connect to our digital phone system. You need to connect the device to your regular phone and use the office phone to dial out. Connects quickly and we have no static on our conference phone. Much cheaper than running in an analog phone line.

Perfect for converting a Widex PhoneDEX to my office phone. This allows the Widex PhoneDEX to directly connect to my Widex Dream hearing aids so I can hear all phone conversations in both ears and through my hearing aids. The PhoneDEX works just like a regular phone. I don't have to do anything different!
