Reasonably priced gauge.
Setup is easy after following instructions for measurement of engine cylinder diameters. A good gauge for home garage engine builds.

Came complete, works well!
Came with all the parts, was accurate and decent directions. One thought for those saying they had missing parts, one of the spacers came on the gauge leaving an open spacer slot and another slot does not come with a spacer.Figure it out before you complain.

Works perfect!
I pulled it out of the box, installed the 4 inch pin, checked my mic against my gauge block, found max travel to be 4.0270", zeroed the bore gauge at 4.0000. This gauge tells me my bores are 4.001, round with no taper, no marks left in the bore from checking. Very happy with the purchase, reringing the motor as I type this. 40 bucks well spent. To my engine building bothers and sisters, get one, you will not be disappointed. You just need a micrometer/precision calipers and a gauge block to set it up correctly. Look up a Zeiko 8" caliper and maybe a 123 block with good reviews if you don't already have them or something equivalent.

Very pleased
I was very pleased with this tool. It's well made, accurate, and gives reproducible results. My only quibble was with the instructions, which were basically worthless. But there are good YouTube videos out there that make up for the shortcomings of the instructions. Overall, it was an excellent buy.

If you are going to do a job do it right!
I was working on a over heating problem on a John Deere 40 Utility tractor. After assessing the problem I realized I needed to tear down the motor and make some repairs. The problem was the head gasket and a cracked edge of one of the pistons. I removed not only the head but the pistons too and then cleaned up all the pieces to be sure I was making all the right moves. I purchased a honing tool and honed the cylinder walls to removed any build up of any kind in the cylinder. After watching some YouTube videos I realized that I should take some measurements of the cylinder to make sure the cylinder was round and not egg shaped. I went to Amazon looking for a dial cylinder bore gauge which I ordered and received in two days. Following the directions of the gauge I assembled it, calibrated it and then went to the tractor and took my measurements of the two cylinders on my tractor. The gauge was easy to use and in a matter of minutes I had verified that the tractor was ready for the repair parts. I would recommend a first time buyer of this type of tool should watch YouTube first because there are several great videos on different types and brands of this type of gauge and their explanations were very helpful.

Gauge is different than the one in the photo
The first thing you'll notice when you get this is that the gauge is different than the one in the photo. The one supplied does not have the substantial black guard around it as depicted. The supplied gauge is about what you'd expect for the money. The 2 movable black pointers are just snapped onto the rim so they are pretty much useless if you wanna use them while measuring. The dial itself moves okay for adjustment - not the smoothest mechanism but it works. My biggest complaint about this is the spring loaded sled - it's a little loose and sloppy. But this is an inexpensive set so for the price it works adequately.

Surprisingly good for the money
I have a toolbox full of Starrett, Mitutoyo etc., but needed a replacement bore gauge on short notice for checking and setting bearing clearances on an engine. Took the chance on this set, and was glad that I did. Surprisingly well built, accurate and consistently repeatable in its measurements. It worked great, and at this point I see no reason to replace it with a more expensive brand until I absolutely have to.

Great product
Great product, all parts are in the Box . The number one anvil is in the head of the unit not in the parts tray and the large one does not come with it it says you get 11 not 12 I would buy this product again pretty accurate
