Once you held this little beauty in hand, you are going to appreciate the craftmanship of the leather case. Such sturdy and feels masculine. The razor itself is a beautiful 4 piece razor with head similar to parker 97r. Its mild to medium aggressive depending on the blade one is using. Size is so small it can fit in pocket and when assembled, its height is similar to parker 94r or 97r. Very beautiful and efficient.

I normally don’t write reviews but I feel this definitely deserves some recognition. I bought this safety razor because of its versatility and customizable shaving options. I saw a bunch of reviews talking about this product’s performance and people often talked about how hefty and heavy it was, but personally I found it to be very evenly balanced from the stainless steel head to the brass handle, i actually expected it to weigh heavier and denser, but I’d say it’s the perfect balanced razor, not too heavy not too light. I got a 5 pack platinum premium Parker blade set along with it, so naturally I used it and I must say, one of the best shaves I’ve ever had, no nicks no cuts. Although it was slightly aggressive even at a mild 2 setting, aggressive yet smooth, I don’t know how to explain it better. So far I’m very satisfied, but if I had to add something to it, I’d say I prefer a more denser stainless steel frame instead of a brass handle as I personally love me a very hefty handled razor for that security of a safe shave, and for the second. I’d say the adjustable setting could’ve been placed up top so it doesn’t interfere with the screwing system, often with wear and usage the screw hinges would get slightly loose and it would challenge it’s durability in the long run. I’m satisfied with this purchase given the price tag, but if there was a new v2 to drop I’d prefer the adjusted setting to be up top . And a stainless steel handle. 8/10 experience!

This would be a longish review - so please bear with me.. I have been a DE shaving aficionado for the last 7-8 years and the bug to collect quality razors has really bit me. Last count , I had around 8 or 9 and include such stalwarts like Edwin Jagger 89, Merkur 34 HD & Merkur slant, butterfly opening style Feather, Rockwell 6S (my most expensive purchase till date) and my newest baby - Parker Variant Parker is made by Pearl Shaving in Gujarat and I did make a couple of purchases directly from them, but these did not turn out to be too great. However, the Variant was getting rave reviews on many international shaving groups and I went ahead & pulled the trigger. I am glad I did so.. I generally rate razors on the parameters of construction quality, blade alignment, balance, grip levels, adaptability to various blades & of course the quality of shave. Couple of points on each of the above parameters as under: 1. Construction quality - top notch, in line with the best in the world. While it is not all stainless steel (like Rockwell 6S) but the chrome on brass/zamak is very well done & feels very premium in hand 2. Blade alignment - no issues at all. I was worried about this parameter since some early reviews had expressed concerns here. But it seems all such issues have been sorted out. The blade aligns evenly on both sides 3. Balance & grip - The knurled handle gives a very nice grip even with wet hands. Balance too is spot on, with the head sufficiently heavy such that you don't have to apply any pressure while shaving. Just hold it at the correct angle and let gravity do it's job 4. Adaptability to various blades - have used it with Astra premium, Shark & Personna blades. Shaves beautifully with all of them 5. Quality of shaving - at par with my Rockwell 6S or possibly even better!! This when 6S is universally acknowledged as possibly the best DE razor in the world and costs 4 times more, landed in India A word of caution though. It is an aggressive razor. Please start with setting 1.5 or 2 and then work your way to your most suitable setting.. I only wonder why Pearl shaving has not listed this razor on their website. Also the handle bottom is stamped with the word "INDIA". Don't know whether the ones selling internationally are also similarly stamped or is it a India specific edition

Best shaver I have ever used. I always had pain, razor bumps and ingrown hair after shaving. I tried this adjustable parker at 4.5 with feather Blade and there was no pain and in only 2 passes I have the best smooth shave of my life.

I didnt feel the so called slicing effect of the slanted blade. I think there is no slicing effect. It gives a close shave though but that is because the head is an aggressive one. Aggressive razor heads gives close shave. Parker blades are nice to use. It gave me 10 shaves easily

I'm quite new to DE safety razor wet shaving; started only in last month after a long long hiatus of about 15 years. In between, I have tried all means of other shaving e.g. Gillette Presto, Gillette Mach 3, Mach 3 Turbo, Gillette Fusion, Philips Electric Shaver (rotary with 2 heads), Braun Series 7 799cc (foil type), Philips Beard Trimmer (Series 3000 QT4011/15), etc. I have a medium growth; 2 times shaving a week gives me a feel good grooming. But I'm a perfectionist; I take at least 30-45 minutes till I get a BBS shave every time. Now, to achieve a shave up to my satisfaction, I sometimes nick/ cut myself with Mach 3, Turbo or even with electric shavers, as mentioned above. I leave aside the razor burn effect which was an inevitable partner in my every shaving. Quite a challenge, isn't it? I mean they are meant for easy shaving without risking yourselves to nicks/ cuts/ burns. May be they are not meant for such a BBS shave what I was expecting out of them. Got fed up with all the so called leaders of shaving in market; I thought to give this a try and return to the old school for once. After all, there should be some good reason why my father/ grand father used to love and enjoy this grooming experience which I'm afraid of just thinking about. So, I got some detailed analysis of different DE safety razors available in market (type, craftsmanship, other pros & cons, price, etc.) and gone for this Parker Variant Adjustable. Boy oh boy; what a beast this is. I tried to find out every single fault it might be having being it's craftsmanship, finishing, look, heftiness, whatever it is, as I have 10 days of return period in amazon. I failed to find any such though I tried really hard. It is built like a tank with precision of a rocket and adorable like a baby. What a shaving experience!! I cannot remember the last time when I got such a close shave without any nicks/ cuts and very negligible razor burn (may be my technique needs perfection). Only thing is that you have to be pretty patient with this lady to dance with you. P.S. The Indian variety (sold in Indian Market) looks slightly different in terms of packaging and embossing "India" mark on the razor. Though I have not used the variety which is exported in foreign market; there's nothing wrong with this Indian variety.

Giving 2 star less because of the cover provided with the razor, the imprint or the logo of parker is completely damaged otherwise this is an Excellent tool for shaving. The weight and height of the DE razor is just perfect. Mild aggressive which provides a BBS with just 2 passes.

Indeed the product is nice and have discovered newness in shaving, especially with the utility to change the aggressiveness of the razor. The heavy weight of the razor further helps in smooth glide and effortless shaving. However, the price is way too high to cover up the utility at disposal. Perhaps, should not be more than ₹1500 - ₹2000. Also the manufacturer needs to focus on the packaging, as the head of the razor was stuck-poking out of the design hole of the outer packet and could have been damaged during transit. So its better to laminate in the insides of the packaging to avoid such issues. May last a lifetime, so may invest at a premium.
