Paper Shredder
This is a very good quality paper shredder. It is let down by flimsy on off slider switch!Time will be the ultimate judge.Noise level is acceptable and reasonable value for a money.

Great for security, but do unplug when not is use.
I upgrade from a Rexel ribbon shredder, that I have had for over 20 years and is still working great, to this cross cut shredder for improved security. The shredded work great. However, after having it for a week, and it have been plugged into the mains from the start, I have just notice that there was a slight electrical smell coming from it and that the main switch was slightly warmer to the touch as the rest of the body. I use a thermal camera and saw that the body had a temperature of 19C and the switch 23C. I checked the power use and saw that the shredder is using 1 Watt (5vA) of power when switched off. I do not know if this a feature of this shredder, but in case it is, I would advise that you remove the mains plug when not in use. But all in all this is a great shredder and I hope that it will last as long as my old one.Follow up:- After 5 months of occasional use the shredder has completely stopped working. Spoke with the manufacturer and they told me to contact Amazon for a replacement, or repair. Unable to get hold of anyone at Amazon. They appear to be not interest in giving any customer support on an item that is still under warranty . Very disappointed, especially with being a longstanding customer of Amazon.Follow up: After navigating the Amazon customer service AI, I finally was given the option for a call back about the problem I am having. Spoke with two ladies who were very helpful and was offered to have the shredder replace with a new one and they would arrange for the old one to be collected. The collection and delivery happened within within 24 hours. Very happy about the outcome. Lets hope the new shredder preforms better than the previous. Also, a big thank you to Rexel customer support for assisting with this.

Not for prolonged or heavy use
***Updated after three months use***Not much use, the blades seem to have blunted after just a few months. The unit clogs after every two or three sheets and so you have to stop, remove the head unit and pull the pieces of paper out that haven't cut through properly and so haven't dropped into the bin below. It definitely can't handle more than two sheets of regular A4 paper at a time. It's not far short of useless so we're having to replace it. Needless to say it won't be with another Rexel! The shredder is quite efficient, cutting paper up into small pieces. It's fairly quiet too. The cutter is not too heavy to lift off to facilitate emptying of the basket beneath. However, this really is only for light, occasional use. If you have more than a few sheets to do at one time, this is probably not for you. It says it can handle up to six sheets at a time. I doubt it, the thing struggles with just two so I'm just doing one sheet at a time. After ten to fifteen sheets the basket needs emptying, otherwise the paper cuttings bunch up and block the cutting teeth completely. For the occasional letter or envelope, it will be fine. For more than that, I'd say look elsewhere.

Good quiet shredder
Use for any addressed or sensitive paperwork and it shreds fine. Have used a similar item in the past and found its best to just shred as you go as if you save the pages up then it can overheat and you have to wait until it cools to continue which is just annoying!!

Shreds efficiently. Still becomes blocked frequently.
The shedder work well enough. However, it becomes frequently even though I use it a maximum of 3 sheets at a time. The stated the maximum sheets at a time 6. Good luck, if you try that!!

Great shredder.
Only need a shredder for domestic use. This fits the bill perfectly. Have had two previously of different manufacturers but this is much better. Handles several sheets at a time and is quiet. Excellent value and looks good too.
