It's hard to find this adapter. thank you for having it.
This firewire adapter to connect old drivers with 1394 6 pin connection to USB connection on the laptop. It works well.

Too bad........
It's a good product, as far as ease of use and sturdiness.....but: IT DOESN'T WORK. I tried to use it to charge my 1st Gen iPod, but it doesn't do anything. It's not even worth trying. Save your money, v and look for A REAL CHARGER.

May work for you!
It did not work for me and the drive I wanted to connect but may work for you. Many other reviews reported success. I knew it was a gamble. I don't think is the actual product but my firewire drive is old. Apple stopped making connection on it's Desktop computers a while back and this external did not include a USB or other means of connecting to the computer. Worth the money worth a try.

Read the comments carefully
It is physically as described. However, it does not provide any data conversion properties and allows the Firewire voltage to pass straight through to your USB port. Both ports use two very different voltage levels so I'm struggling with how this would actually ever be used.

Didn’t work
Did not work. Honestly: don’t know if the problem is with the product, or compatability of my FireWire and USB devices. (I bought this to connect an old FireWire hard drive to a USB port on my Mac.

Le port usb, meme le 3.0 ne supporte pas le firewire,
Jai essayé de connecter une carte de son 8 entree sortie firewire pour lordi mais il y a le message que le port usb nest pas assez fort...? Jai une entree fire wire sur mon ordi mais je doit passer par un programme genre mixer et ensuite je peux recevoir le signal pour mon programme cubase.je voulais asser directement de ma firestudio au programme.
