I purchased this to alert me when my cats wanted back inside. It works great! I initially wanted to install the sensor inside but discovered it does not sense motion through glass. A small bit of two sided sticky velcro tape solved this. The alert is loud and I can hear it anywhere in my house. It does take a lot of batteries (6) but it's well worth it.

This motion sensor alarm 100% solved an issue I had with folks walking into an unauthorized area at work. Installed and set up in under 10 minutes, no issues. Some users say that the 'Alerts' (chime, voice announcement, alarm siren sounds, etc.) are too loud, and can't be set to a comfortable volume. (Maybe the manufacturer has fixed this in an update), but I found the (4, or 5) volume levels on the main unit to include a volume low-enough to be perfect in a quiet office environment. Plus, you can set the main (larger) unit to *only* flash its (incredibly bright) LED without making any sound whatsoever, if desired. Note that the LEDs on both the Motion Detector head, and the Main Unit on the one I received are not RED — but a pleasant, bright blue color. Each component has a 'Mini USB' port which I'm assuming gives you the option for external power, but for now I'm just using the 'AA' Battery option in each device and getting really great results. Both the Motion Detector, and the main Receiver Unit have their own power switch so you can turn them off when not needed. Very happy with this unit.

Product works and we’ve found an angle where it works great in the shop. It just takes a while to find the right place to put it because the sensor is sensitive and will go off randomly if not placed correctly.

I love this thing, and I have 3 of them. At first, i simply used 1 to alert me when someone came through front door at work. Then, one night my work van got burglarized at a jobsite, and i had an idea -- put one in my van while it's unattended at work and home.At home, work or remote jobsite i strategically place motion detector in van, and keep alarm near me. Test range, but so far i haven't exceeded it.One night, alarm sounded around 3:30AM. I ran off 2 burglars that had just barely got my van's door open. I know they heard alarm inside building because it is incredibly loud and piercing, and they were already scattering when i arrive after 30 seconds. They might have stolen my van or tools without this thing. My car alarm didn't notify we til 3 minutes later! And it's just a notification on my phone. No good.I have burglar alarm that texts me, beeps the clicker, etc., but you can miss those if asleep or working in noisey place. NO MISSING THIS ALARM!! It is loud and piercing. Now, it has lots of settings for different tones, songs, greetings and volume. It even has a white light that stays on 2 minutes if you need temporary illumination in a dark hall or tiolet. And it has silent alarm if you just want lights to flash. You can have more than one in same area and they will work independently. Instructions say i can pair more than one motion detector to single alarm, but i haven't tried it.The possibilities are unlimited what you can do with this, AND ITS SO QUICK & INEXPENSIVE! Don't want kids in garage -- hello. On a jobsite: put 1 in van and one in toolbox while you go into ceiling -- If any dirtbag opens YOUR van or tool box to snoop, SURPRISE. Maybe you have a shed out back and neighbor borrows tools? Set this up in 2 minutes and next time anyone enters that shed, you know it (if you are home to hear alarm).Of course, true alarm systems can call, text and email you, but this is a quick and easy problem solver if you are within range.You can even prank your friends & family, or scare HALLOWEEN munchkins by placing them in fun places. Put one behind shower curtain or inside kitchen cabinet and scare the wife. Sounds like a YouTube video waiting to happen. ENJOY.

The Pros: Very sensitive. Lotsof different types of alerts to choose from. Welcome in several languages. Can choose sound or visual and one option for both. Cons: For MY application, I wish I could have a softer volume choice, Again, for MY application, I don't like the bright blue LED on the sensor. My son sneaks up on me a lot and sometimes I am so buried in my work on the computer, which is in my room, and he is like a ninja. Just, "Hey dad." scares the bejesus out of me, so I got this to alert me when hje is coming. I didn't want him to know and that's why I don't want the blue LED light and also, on the sensor, sometimes the light alert isn't enough, but the volume on the sound is too loud even on the lowest volume. My application might be unique so just keep that in mind. This is a very good option. I was hoping to find something that would alert me straight to my phone using Bluetooth rather than these that go through the network because those have a slight delay. Otherwise, the unit is great.

Our patio leads out to a busy walkway and there is no gate to block people out. We got this as an alarm system to deter potential intruders and to alert us. The sensor was easy to mount to a sliding door frame (comes with double sided tape). Its been up for 5 months and hasn't fallen off (covered patio, not exposed to weather). Any heat signature will set it off so it detects cats, squirrels and people. I wish it had a screw feature for adjusting the angle more accurately to my space instead of the preset notches. The receiver has tons of tunes to choose from and can be heard from the outside when it is set off. The lowest volume setting has woken us up from another room. I love that it also has a light that blinks with adjustable settings. If you power it using batteries, its super easy to move between rooms (bedroom at night, common areas during the day). It comes a stand or it can be wall mounted. Sometimes our friends enter using our patio instead of the front door and its nice to adjust the tune to the "hello welcome" option. This thing is an incredible value compared to what we almost spent by if we had gotten a motion sensor and camera system that charge subscription fees.

I got this so I could tell when my cat was outside. It works great. The chine is a little annoying and there is no reason to play the entire song

Works well, good volume control. No fuss to set up with the sensor adjustment being excellent. Like the idea of being able to wire it via USB cable so I don't have to worry about batteries.
