This is what comes on most stock Taylor guitars and can warm up most tones... they say POLYWEB Coating provides a slick, fast feel but it just seems to warm up the sound a bit and make the strings last a bit longer.They say it protects against corrosion and debris buildup, extending tone life longer than any other brand’s coated or uncoated strings... to my experience that's true. Interestingly I find the wound G string wears out pretty quickly anyway almost mitigating the "long lasting" aspect of the strings coating. Basically from warm to bright it goes Polyweb, Nanoweb and Optiweb. For most Taylors I would chose Nanoweb for most Martins I would choose Optiweb. That's just a jumping off point as woods, age, humidity, tuning and just about everything else affect tones.One thing that most people don't mention is if you have a campfire or beach guitar these strings can help hold up in outdoor conditions pretty well. Also if you are a sweaty hands type player.Anyway..hope this helps.

perfect for my dreadnought

They are good long lasting strings
They are good long lasting strings. The tone is not as bright as some other makes, it all depends on what sound you like, and of course which guitar you play. I use a variety of strings for various acoustics and these are perfect for a nice warm sound on my Takamine. Try them.......maybe you will like them
