Some of the colors are easy to read but some are very difficult. But overall, very good value

I bought the package of 10 each of 100 values. As others have noted the lead diameter is really small and many of the color codes are hard to read or incorrect. Many of the resistors are more than 1% off the nominal values but I didn't find anything more than 5% off.The resistors are cut from reels with the value stamped on the tape holding the part. I found a couple that were marked incorrectly. There were some missing values - 22 ohm, 91k, 68k and 10 Meg and a couple of values were doubled up. Some additional quality control is in order, though not too bad for what I imagine is manual cutting, marking and packing.Just finished a project using about 10 different values. All the leads took solder without any problems. The leads, while very thin, are also very flexible so nothing broke while I was getting them in position to solder.I sorted the resistors into bins in a small parts cabinet after getting tired of digging through the box to find the value I needed.Bottom line - if you can live with the variations noted it's a cheap way to get a collection of resistors from 1 ohm to (almost) 10 megohm.

The item arrived at the correct time. Very good product and meets my needs. Excellent purchase.

Several items to note:1. In terms of physical size, these resistors are larger than 1/4W but smaller than 1/2W - at least in diameter. Body length is about the same as a "standard" 1/2W resistor. While I haven't run any heat rise tests or measured temperature with a FLIR camera, I recommend de-rating the power by 50%.2. Lead diameter is roughly half that of a "standard" 1/2W resistor. Many leads have signs of corrosion and/or other contamination, so be sure to clean the leads before soldering (I do this anyway, regardless).3. Band colors could be better. For example, browns and reds tend to look very similar, so a 2.2K could be mistaken for 110 Ohms.4. While I was binning the resistors I measured each one and ended up tossing more than 30, as they were well outside the 5% tolerance. Most were under 2.5%.Bottom line: OK value for the money, and should be good for most general hobbyist use.

Had all the sizes I needed to replace the old carbon resistors in a 1970s Juke Box pre amp. The Juke box is now playing again without the background hiss caused by the old resistors. Plenty extras left over. Probably won’t need to purchase any more 1/2 watt resistors in my lifetime.

I am very happy with this purchase. However, these are not 1% tolerance resistors. The gold tolerance band indicates they are 5%. They are also not metal film, but carbon film, as indicated by the tan resistor body color. This didn’t concern me as I assumed this from the photographs, and don’t need the extra performance. Each 10 resistors of the same value were packaged in a separate zip-lock bag and marked with a hand written black ink marker. While sorting the bags I found only 1 that wasn’t marked, but I was easily able to read the color codes on the resistors.I’m a retired electrical engineer who is mostly into fine woodworking now, but I still occasionally dabble with electrical and electronic circuits, and since Radio Shacks are now very scarce I find this set of 1000 resistors for less than 2 cents each a really good bargain!

They Arrived and Worked

Values are all over the place. The small Ziplock bags tend to rip open rather than unsnap. The values of written on the bags rub off. Some of the values written on the bigs cannot be read. If you buy these you must check every resistor with a meter before using it which is something you should do anyway.
